An attempt to hijack the state's election laws and open the door for voter fraud failed at the last minute this week in Wisconsin's legislature. But threats to ballot integrity continue in other states, and Congress may rush to pass ill-conceived legislation this year that would only sow confusion and increase the potential for chaos on a national level.
Wisconsin's story shows how high the stakes are. Late in March, a 72-page bill was suddenly introduced and rushed forward with only abbreviated hearings. The bill would have given "nationally recognized" community organizing groups access to the state driver's license database to encourage voter turnout. After the infamous registration scandals involving Acorn in 2008, this was clearly a strange priority. Requests for an absentee ballot in a single election would also become permanent (without requiring a legitimate reason, such as infirmity), and the ballots would be automatically mailed out in future elections.

Good going, John Fund.
Thank you for what you have been doing in the cause of Sovereign Citizen’s voter integrity, for years now.
It’s a good article.
What was left out of the article (probably because Fund didn’t know) were two other key elements:
1) The Milwaukee Police Department disbanded the voter fraud squad (Chief bowing to the wishes of the Dem mayor who is running for governor this year).
2) Another provision of the bill was that poll watchers had to come from the same voting precinct in order to challenge voters. They don’t want anymore suburban Republicans watching inner city polling places anymore.
I dimly recall that mayor and his antics the night of the Bush/Kerry election. He and his Dem minions spent the night at city hall...no republicans invited. I think that was where the blank ballots were “stored”.
Don’t remember all the details, but there were all kinds of shenanigans going on that night. (Kerry won that state by 11,000 votes.)
The bill's subversive language would have given "nationally recognized" community organizing groups access to the state driver's license database to encourage voter turnout. Requests for an absentee ballot in a single election would also become permanent (without requiring a legitimate reason, such as infirmity), and the ballots would be automatically mailed out in future elections.
It’s no wonder that Obama and the DNC are not worried about the 2010 elections. Let’s make sure this does not go through.
Kerry received 11,000 more votes than Bush. I remain convinced that more than 11,000 of them were fraudulent.

Look for a similar PP (Pelosi Proposal) coming to a precinct near you:)
So, the challengers will be identifiable as traitors to the Marxist cause, and be dealt with "appropriately".
Kudos to John and everyone who brings this kind of “legislation” into the open. I think the people will always fight it if they know but it’s hard to keep track of what these thieves are doing at every level, especially when you’re working 40+ hrs. a week.
In 2000 Gore won Wisconsin by only five thousand votes out of about two million cast. Again, voter fraud was a factor with among other cases some NYC Dem operative named Millstein bragging after the election how she had bribed Milwaukee transients and other lowlifes with smoke if they'd vote for Gore.
that smokes, as in cigarettes, not smoke.
This cartoon made me laugh. We are almost beyond help.
