...the level of hostility the majority of the American population holds for the US government. ...The growing social misery... and the outrage it is generating."

Is anyone here really surprised that the standard of living is taking a hit? There have been dozens of threads here about Cloward-Piven, and the marxo-muzlim-fascists wrecking our society because they hate American Exceptionalism.

But the good news is reading that a majority of Americans are actually as pissed off as we are. There's hope for your children's future in that anger.

The Cloward-Piven strategy is working - the planned destruction of free market capitalism and replacement with socialism/fascism. We are in a Cold War with Obama. Steel yourselves and prepare as best you can. . .

“Steel yourselves”....bump....that describes how I’ve felt for the last year.....and some of my family/friends probably think I’m REALLY weird.

We need an old fashioned REVOLUTION, and I don't mean just gathering on the Capitol Mall.

Ever read the Bible? Ever notice how the Founding Fathers always looked to God for divine Providence? We don't do that anymore, so we reap what we have sown.

Odd you said that 'cause that's basically what I said in Sunday School this morning. (I'm not the teacher)

In Ohio, property owners are offering two months free rent, as so many people are moving in Mexican style. Being by heritage Mexican, it amuses me. Yes, it’s okay to live with friends and relatives.

And the place we moved out of one year ago has dropped rents by 25 percent. So inflation hasn’t hit real estate in Ohio. You can buy a 2 bedroom house in a good neighborhood for $64,000 (foreclosure, of course). Or rent a 2-bedroom for $499, with one month free and deposit waived.

At some point, the inflation in groceries should lead to general inflation. But with gasoline near record inventories, it might be longer than you think.

“I don’t know if did not plan right or what...”

Dude, me too. I ran my numbers again this morning and I still don’t see the flaw in my plan.

But we got a 10% paycut at work, that is my and hubby both and after 8 months it is really starting to hurt.

Look, I am in NJ, this is why people are irate here.

And the scum teachers still think they should get a raise.

What’s the point? We’ll be lucky if 10% of our population ultimately survives a full-scale EMP attack...I’d rather be in the 90%.

"Only 22 percent of Americans say their government can be trusted, "

12.8% of US was black/Afro American in 2005 according to infoplease. I am sure that there are enough non-black welfare queens to account for the other 9.2%.

"What’s the point? "

You may be correct...but, at this point, I'm preparing to be in the surviving 10%. (ahem) I suppose I could change my mind at any time though.

You’re doing a good job, Dale. I know that in California, prices have dropped by enough that you can rent and get positive cash flow. Not generally true in Ohio, as marginal rents have dropped almost as much as prices, and vacancy rates are rising.

One of my business partners was a millionaire in real estate four years ago. He’s now in Chapter 13. I personally would not do well in real estate, because I’m not a great shopper or negotiator. Real estate is, of course local. Location, location, and location.

I am amused at the guy here who despite your saying that you pay cash, seems to think that you are borrowing money on investment real estate. Of course, if you had to sell in two years, interest rates/inflation would matter.

And California’s government budget crisis matters, as it is likely that taxes and utilities might run higher, and cause fewer people to move to California, while more leave, and those remaining get squeezed. But 10% cash on cash looks good enough to deal with minor annoyances.

"What is a faraday cage?"

Protection from an EMP attack which the Iranians are reported to be practicing for use on the USA. Just one nuke 200 miles above the US could 'fry' every electronic component in the country. No more electricity, cars, planes, trains, etc.
Some estimates have 90% of the US population eventually dying in such an attack.

Faraday Cage

The problem in America is the MSM. This must be resolved.

Defund the Left. Don't watch TV. Don't pay cable. Pull your kids out of government schools. Give them a technical education (auto repair, gardening, etc.). Give yourself a technical education. Get 2-5 acres and grow your own. Ask the Amish if you can work with them for a bit. I don't think the MSM has much power over the Amish.

Or, watch American Idle (I prefer Eric), and assume the showers being built are for your benefit.
