BO won’t like this poll. He’s against upholding the laws of the land.
My guess is the other 30% are illegals who vote anyway!
I’m curious. I’ve seen a number of even (so-called) conservative commentators say that states don’t have the right to make a law like this one. Can that be true? I confess, I’m not a lawyer, but wouldn’t this fall under the 10th Amendment?
Interesting that the opposition is focused entirely on brown skinned people, yet the law speaks to ALL undocumented individuals. Based on my experience with cab drivers [from Russia, Pakistan, Yemen, etc.] in major cities, there are more than brown skinned people that will be compelled to show either visas or proof of citizenship. That is a good thing.
Wonder how long it will take a liberal judge to cry cry it’s UNCONSTITUTIONAL.?

...authorizing local police to stop and check the immigration status of anyone they suspect of being in the country illegally.
I don’t like this.
The Arizona law is actually enforcing the laws of the United States that the Obama won’t enforce.
There is such a disconnect between what people think and their attitudes about Obama. Everything they disagree with Obama does, and it doesn’t seem to resonant.
I would love to see a more questions in these polls like, Obama has come out against this law. And some choices of how that made people feel - did they change their mind, etc.
I don’t know much about AZ’s internal politics, but how can 70% support this legislation and 47% support open-borders, anti-fence John McCain [of McCain-Kennedy; aka, Amnesty for Illegals] for re-election?

Right now, I don't see a reasoned debate from Washington. I see open thuggish threats against the rights of our people to enforce the law as the Federal government is specifically stated to do so, but does not.
We are well within our rights to defend ourselves and our property. This government seems to pit itself against that basic God-given right. I do not see reconciliation with a tyrant who opposes even the most basic ideas of freedom.
What tomorrow brings, God only knows. I will hope for the best but continue to prepare for the worst.
I just emailed the AZ governor’s office to let them know that because of their new illegal immigration law, I will be MORE likely to vacation in Arizona. I like to spend my hard earned dollars in states the government of which protects the rights of US citizens and the interests of taxpayers.
The real mind-blower was that the Yahoo article is only a day or two old, yet has over 25,000 comments(!!!).
70%? Wow, that's almost a majority, even in liberal la-la land.
the other obvious subhead is “30% who oppose here illegally.”
Arizona should institute a “catch and release” program for any freshly caught illegal immigrants under the new AZ bill.
Catch’em in Arizona.
Release them in Washington DC.
It’s their home. They would know best and they should be permitted to have their legislature take the actions they deem necessary to protect their home and way of life. Good for `Zona.
