Libs are in a tizzy over this AZ bill (or acting like it anyway to stir democrat hispanics.)

A bigger battle is coming possibly stimulated by this. Obama is being called on (and will act on) his promise to hispanic caucus (for the final HR votes) to push amnesty this year(with 10% unemployment yet.) This of course would make the legals legally entitled to Obama-care/medicaid.

Yesterday MSNBC Ed Schulz said this (amnesty) “will change the politic landscape”, and “empower unions”.

The good side of this action is it will put republicans ‘on the record’ sooner rather than later on amnesty. Anyone special you would like to be put on the spot?

Some truckers plan boycott over Arizona immigration law

[snip] Two or three times a week, truck driver Jesus Serrano hauls loads of Mexican-grown produce from warehouses in Nogales, Ariz., which is just across the U.S.-Mexico border, to distribution centers in Los Angeles.

Serrano plans to stop making the trip now that Arizona Republican Gov. Jan Brewer has signed a stringent anti-illegal immigration bill into law, however, and he’s recruited other truckers to join him.

“We’re Hispanic; we’re Mexican. We’ve been saying, ‘Are we going to be getting stopped on our way to the store when we’re walking to get lunch somewhere?’ “ Serrano said.

About 40 percent of the Mexican-grown produce that’s consumed in North America comes through Nogales, according to Amy Adams, a spokeswoman with the Fresh Produce Association of the Americas. Serrano said that a revolt among independent truckers would create backlogs in moving that produce out of Nogales warehouses.

However, Collin Stewart, the chairman of the Arizona Trucking Association, hadn’t heard of the boycott plans and said he wouldn’t expect what he described as a “CB radio revolt” by independent owner-operators to affect distribution significantly.

First it was McCain (with Bush), now it's Lindsey Graham heading up the amnesty crusade for the Republicans. What the hell is "a Republican" anymore, anyway?

But, if this happens before the 2010 election and McCain votes for it (which he will), he can immediately start planning his retirement. Can't imagine that Arizonans would re-elect him after that -- Sarah Palin support or not.

Remember the GOP senators and the "clay pigeon" in 2007?
