If everyone starts doing it, it is going to be a mess on this board. Remember when word processors came out and people figured out all the things they could do with the text? Do you want FR to start looking like this?

I Agree Wholeheartedly. FreeRepublic discussion BOARDS should never end up Looking like this. It is the content of the message that is the discussion, not how pretty some1 thinks they can make their text look.

Heck. Not everyone does it or wants to do it. He has been posting for a while. I think it provides some texture. I find it mildly humorous.

But hey...we can disagree. I don’t think we will see it explode, it is too damn much work for people to go out of their way to do it.

Personally, I post a lot of pictures, more than most, because it just makes it more interesting in my opinion. But as my wife likes to say, it isn’t a hill I want to die on...:)

LOL. Fortunately FR's superbly designed forum software makes the more complex HTML stuff just difficult enough.

Right. Only important/unique things should be flagged to stand out. Anyone who deviates from standard text should know going in that he/she risks a little criticism, tweaking, etc.
