If I remember correctly I think that's supposed to be "quit claim deed". Could be wrong.
There are places where fireplaces, wood stoves and pellet stoves are the only heat available. In California, like Florida, a fireplace is not a necessity. It is a status symbol. Are there companies that install fireplaces and stoves in California?
A law that would outright ban existing stoves and fireplaces would not go over well where you don't have any other choice for heat when it is 7 degrees outside. It lacks foresight and even a flaming liberal Democrat from a State with cold weather couldn't vote for freezing his constituents.
Like I said...I don't buy it.
Nope. You are right. Quit Claim Deed.
If the EPA Environmental Storm Troopers, require energy retrofits that would cost more than the home’s value making the home unable to be sold, will the federal government give the owner compensation under the taking clause of the 5th Amendment? Oh wait Obama has repealed the Bill of Rights....
“Like I said...I don’t buy it.”
I thought the same thing when I heard that counties in So. California were outlawing fireplaces.

Just bookmarked their site for further reading.
Well, allow me to bump up the numbers a bit.
NEVER SOCIALISM.
There, I feel better.
Another state’s rights issue. The Feds can go shove it.
Wait until they pass the Assault Weapons act of 2010. A lot of states will tell the feds to shove that too.
silly
“All wood and pellet-burning stoves are required to be destroyed. Any property owner planting a tree must file annual reports for the next five years as to the health of said tree.”
You have got to be kidding. Even if I had a wood burning stove, how would the government know if I destroyed it or not? Good luck getting in my front door to inspect my house for wood burning stoves, fireplaces, pellet stoves, or any appliances that don’t meet government energy standards.
No car or home inspections requied where I live.
