On a day when President Obama argued for more government regulation over the financial industry, a new government report reveals that some high-level regulators have spent more time looking at porn than policing Wall Street.
The Securities and Exchange Commission is supposed to be the sheriff of the financial industry, looking for financial crimes like Bernard Madoff's Ponzi scheme. But the new report, obtained by ABC News, says senior employees of the SEC spent hours on the commission's computers looking at sites like naughty.com, skankwire, youporn, and others.

What's more money without more power?
I know I feel totally safe allowing these assholes access to my personal banking information.
Not.

The military spends alot of time making sure this kind of stuff doesn’t happen....and if you get caught....you get prosecuted. I doubt that any SEC guy ever got really punished (it wasn’t mentioned in the report).
The trust in the SEC? They haven’t proven a single point over the past five years. In fact....we are watching the Obama “fix” occur....because they simply couldn’t do their job. This is just another government organization that could be dissolved tomorrow, and we’d never notice it missing.

What do you expect from a bunch of government slugs?

Yep, our tax dollars hard at work. Yet, I'm sure none of them will lose their jobs, even though this would be the case in the private sector. I would like to see a news organization other than ABC investigating this, though. I think it is time to treat the "industry" of government the way the private sector has been treated by the Leftist media all these years. Time to start investigating the crap out of these people.

Could we ask the admin. to remove the last part of the last sentence? No need to advertise the names of those sites. We have children on this FR. Sure they can find them, but we don’t need to help them.

No problem. I think sometimes we forget how many youngsters we do have on this site. There are many many homeschool kids who come here to learn. We get so involved in our “adult” discussions we forget that.

Wonder if they paid them per how many frauds they uncover, they get a percentage, kind of like a sales person working on commission. Then they would have an incentive to be all over the transactions looking for insiders doing shady things... Pay them piece work.

I heard the first chairman of the SEC was none other than Joe Kennedy...father of the swimmer.
He was appointed by FDR who said it takes a crook to know a crook.

By now every worker in every company should know that that everything that goes between their PC and the companies network, and beyond is being recorded, same with the web and your ISP.
