And that is why I believe the worst crisis this country faces is the failure of law enforcement - our means of holding politicians as well as the ordinary man on the street accountable to the law.
Even Iran has law enforcement against the lowly peasants.
If it’s not “liberty and justice for all” then it’s neither liberty nor justice. And it’s not the real America.
That’s where we’re at right now. And I hear these lawyers describing military justice saying that’s where the military is, is going to stay, and is darned proud of being.
It makes me sick.
I don’t think we ought to be using our military to hold politicians or ordinary men on the street accountable to the law. That is emphatically not what they’re there for.
