NEW YORK (April 22) -- After a radical Islamic group issued a thinly veiled threat against the creators of "South Park," the network aired an episode with references to and depictions of the Prophet Muhammad blocked out.
A note on the show's website said Comedy Central had inserted "numerous additional audio bleeps throughout" the show, adding "we do not have network approval to stream our original version of the show."
The episode was the second half of a storyline that began last week with an episode depicting the Prophet Muhammad in a bear suit.
A day later, a blog post on Revolution Muslim's website warned the satirists that the episode would likely leave them in the same position as Dutch filmmaker Theo Van Gogh, who was shot to death while biking to work in Amsterdam in 2004. Van Gogh had made a short film critical of the treatment of women in Islamic society.
"We have to warn Matt [Stone] and Trey [Parker] that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show. This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them," Abu Talhah Al-Amrikee wrote in the post.

Mohammed was not a prophet. He was either a con man or, more likely, demon possessed evil piece of garbage.
While I'm at it, Allah is not God, either.
HaShem, the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob is God.
HaShem had a son, to boot, whose name was Yeshua. Yeshua was fully God and fully man, in ways I don't remotely comprehend.
Yeshua was murdered by a comination of the Devil, pagan Romans, and a cabal of either blinded or stupid Jews for our sins. He rose from the dead after three days and we are called to follow Him.

South Park is THE only reason I turn to commie central! Huge disappointment last night. I think the opposite....that was some over the top uber censorship of that show last night...it drove the point home; when the enemy is threatening violence on cartoons they have emasculated their whole supposed cause (praise Bleep).
There are scores of articles about this incident of censorship - people are joking about it(we are 'amused') - about how over the top the censorship was. Kudos to comedy central and Matt and Trey for doing what they did....the whole thing could have been pulled and replaced with the Tiger Woods repeat...it wasn't.
The testing of the waters will be to see who else in the entertainment world will do the same as they have....Praise Bleep.

I’m almost sure that it’s the network and not the South Park guys.

They did:
UPDATE: Parker and Stone comment on "South Park" censorship:
In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it.

They have blocked the streaming video until May 15 for some reason. I just watched it the day after it came out, but when I went back to get the link, it was said unavailable until May 15.

I also thought it was a good preview for people to see what they have to look forward to, ie, TV viewing, radio listening, etal, when those who have the power to determine what is and is not broadcast will be like. And since most of them are lefties who tune in to CC for other bash-the-right programming, such as Stewart and The Daily Show, they ought not to be surprised when the precedents set by their guy are continued with someone from the other side of the spectrum, how will they be able to complain or criticize then?

Not sure what you’re asking but it was heavily censored in it’s original run on the East Coast last night. They weren’t even allowed to rerun it censored at midnight like usual.

It wasn’t Stone and Parker who wimped out, it was Comedy Central. The episode was censored without their consent.
