NEW YORK (April 22) -- After a radical Islamic group issued a thinly veiled threat against the creators of "South Park," the network aired an episode with references to and depictions of the Prophet Muhammad blocked out.
A note on the show's website said Comedy Central had inserted "numerous additional audio bleeps throughout" the show, adding "we do not have network approval to stream our original version of the show."
The episode was the second half of a storyline that began last week with an episode depicting the Prophet Muhammad in a bear suit.
A day later, a blog post on Revolution Muslim's website warned the satirists that the episode would likely leave them in the same position as Dutch filmmaker Theo Van Gogh, who was shot to death while biking to work in Amsterdam in 2004. Van Gogh had made a short film critical of the treatment of women in Islamic society.
"We have to warn Matt [Stone] and Trey [Parker] that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show. This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them," Abu Talhah Al-Amrikee wrote in the post.
South Park is THE only reason I turn to commie central!
Huge disappointment last night.

I think you’ve all been had. I saw the episode. In the bear suit was — Santa Claus! All the censored and bleeped elements were totally UNrecognizable as being ANYthing other than a South Park Gag — on all of us!
I thought it was funny, based on the satire of the censoring of something that wasn’t even there TO censor.
Everybody who took this seriously took this too seriously.
BTTT
That’s why it is so important to elect the right politicians.

I wonder if anyone has done a “Hitler Hates Mohammad” clip.
That’s Western cowardice for all of us to see.
Muslims are exercising their power and getting away with it.
FREE SPEECH? Need Muslim permission? Can’t displease Muslims?
Whose country is this?
The cowards who caved are no better than the demanding Muslims.
Not only that, but they did a two-parter in which Islamic terrorists were threatening the makers of Family Guy for showing a picture of Mohammed. Cartman was for censorship, and Kyle went along with him until he discovered his true evil intentions. Everybody in South Park is burying their heads in the sand to save themselves from the terrorists. In between, they discover that Family Guy’s writing team was just a bunch of dolphins, freely associating words. Life is imitating art imitating life now.
Eff you Abu.
Mooohammad.
“Where’s the FBI, Justice Dept?”
Working for our president.
Perhaps somewhere between the 2010 and 2012 elections we can transition from a nation of whimps......
Kind of figured it was, given that “He who consorts with children”’s name was bleeped way too much in last night’s episode. Did not even bother watching the whole episode.

NO! Then the AOL news has been had, too. Was there really a blog-posted threat, though? That would be too funny.
I don’t know about Western cowardice inclusively, but Comedy Central caved to their Sharia demands. I find that repugnant, reprehensible and stupid beyond stupid.
