The Senate is expected to take up a proposal, originally authored by Senator Chris Dodd (DCT), to reform the financial regulatory system in the U.S. The goal is clear: to minimize the chances that another financial crisisand bailoutswill arise again.
The objective is a good one. Unfortunately, the 1,408-page bill includes numerous provisions that would hurtnot helpconsumers and the economy. It would even make another financial crisis or bailout more likely to occur.

Just like DC. Letting an arsonist work at the match factory.
that was funny
I also heard on Neal Boortz or Mark Levin (can’t remember) that another provision in this bill states something about the bill or the Presidents decisions under this bill can not be reviewed by the judiciary.
Did anyone else hear this?

Next up: Michael Vick to overhaul animal cruelty laws.
I’d have put the over-under WAY above 14 for Dodd’s legislative fatal flaw count.
SnakeDoc
IMO number 14 should be #1.
Why is the objective a good one? What has the government done lately that makes matter’s better? One more new rule or regulation or law just means one more ‘screw up’and the mess becomes an even bigger mess.
Tiger Woods to become "Gentlemen Club" critic
He is retiring, but not soon enough. I suppose he wants this abortion as his senatorial legacy. I say get the hell out and don't let the Capitol door hit you in the ass. And take your lobbyist wife with you!
