The Assembly voted 51-18 to approve GOP Sen. Abel Maldonado's lieutenant governor nomination today.
The vote signals an end to a five month confirmation saga.

One of those who opposed RINO PUKE Maldonado's confirmation was conservative Republican hero Chuck DeVore...
Maldonado's detractors were mostly Democrats. One Republican, Chuck DeVore (R-Irvine), voted against confirmation, saying Maldonado had traded a budget vote last year for "30 pieces of silver," implying Schwarzenegger nominated Maldonado in exchange for his budget vote.

Kudos to Chuck Devore for being the ONLY Republican legislator with the spine to vote AGAINST this Scozzafava-like DIABLO traitor. Devore has proven to be a conservative stalwart. Perhaps Carly Fiorina has turned out to be slightly better option than ultra-RINO Tom Campbell, but I'm still not sold on the idea she will be a reliable conservative in the U.S. Senate.

DeVore is a better choice than Fiorina.
But in my opinion Fiorina is a much better choice than Campbell. At worst she’s a little better, that speaks more about Campbell than it does her.
