Woman drops rape lawsuit against David Copperfield

SEATTLE — A Washington woman who accused David Copperfield of luring her to his private island in the Bahamas and raping her — and who was later charged with fabricating sexual assault claims against another man — is dropping her federal lawsuit against the magician.
Attorneys for model and waitress Lacey Carroll announced her decision in a news release Tuesday.

So either she should be arrested for attempted extortion, or Copperfield paid her off. I don’t see any other scenarios.

Well, even if he did do anything, he can make the evidence disappear! Most men don’t have that ability. (Not that evidence is always required for such a charge).

I question some reports of rape by wealthy, nice looking men. If some woman was to say that Michael Moore raped her, for instance, then that would be more believable to me.
