The Feds shot the Branch Davidians as they attempted to escape the burning buildings. John Danforth aided-and-abetted the cover-up.
Yes that is the key point. He was a regular jogger. they could have grabbed him at anytime..if they had proof of his illegal activities. apparently there was no proof of the charges as described..AFTER THE FACT.
They were “weird”,
they were independent minded.
They didn’t like intrusion from the government.
That’s enough these days to get you “sieged”
for “conspiracy to resist the authority of the federal government”.
Google is your friend.
Not only is that the case here - it’s probably also the case in 99% of the SWAT raids that occur in our country.
We’ve taken the whole idea of SWAT home invasions lying down. If the Feds/locals need to arrest some drug dealer or other, at some point he’s going to leave the house. For one thing, everyone does at some point. For another thing, dealers need to deal - they are not recluses.
But no, we have basically said it’s OK for an army of thugs to bust down doors in the middle of the night (shooting any poodles that happen to get in the way) in order to arrest drug dealers.
The whole thing defies logic, IMHO.
Watch “Rules Of Engagement” on youtube.
Some say she learned how to sing and became Susan Boyle.
I guess any excuse for murdering every man, women, and child is a good excuse. Their mere beliefs, thoughts, and understandings, no matter how twisted they may be, is also an excuse for the massacre of over 150 Americans! Christianity had nothing to do with the murder of these people, only in the fact that they were practicing what they all believed to be a Christian faith.
The impeached pervert was the PRESIDENT.Harry S Truman said the buck stops there
And OBTW why were four former Clintoon bodyguards murdered that day ?
It’s “Showtime”!!!
That big entrance by the ATF in the prior February was going to give them a big revenue boost I think.
they ain’t no friends of mine, but thanks.
My gosh, they WERE quite weird! Not that anybody
should die for the crime of being weird.
The warrent was to expire the day of the raid.
ATF shot the dogs as they attacked.
Remmebered the lost footage of Koresh at the door, that is now seemingly gone forever?
And that the Weaver’s sniper was there on the final assault.
And why was Delta force there?
Some cults think that they can change Passover Now that is weird !!! No weirder than cults that perform magic shows
matzoh & wine into body and blood.
What about Gen. Wesley Clark and his Foot Hood Tanks ?
Bingo! Some genius thought it would be a great PR move to storm the compound presuming that the Davidians would fold easily. Oops! six people dead. And the seige began.
Trumped up child abuse charges.. I don’t believe Koresh did any molesting..He was just crazy.
I would never attempt to justify OK City, but the anger at an out of control government murdering women and children and getting away with it was pretty strong at the time. Impeachment was the correct answer, not a bomb killing more women and children in a OK City nursery. Clinton should have been answered by the media with his deeds, rather than calling attention to the Tea Party.
Bttt
Waco was the last gasp of a hidden agenda operation in the 80’s designed to erode Constitutional guarantees and procedures of due process, search and seizure and the 2nd Ammendment. The idea was to create a mass hysteria over disappearing children (many of which were victims of divorce kidnappings), justify the persecution of presumed practitioners of “satanic ritual abuse” and turn that into a new system of jurisprudence. ALL SRA cases were later either overturned or dropped due to perjured witnesses or illegal evidence gathering, after many innocent lives were ruined.
What think tanks did this strategy of subversion of the Constitution come from? What seminars were prosecutors attending that sensitized them to claims of ritual abuse? Where did all those shrinks come from who badgered children to bear false witness? What is the real story behind “false memory syndrome”? Who was Jim Jones and who were the armed “palace guard” of Jonestown who escaped with their lives?
