An American school has been forced to axe a cross-dressing fashion show featuring eight-year-old boys in women's clothing.
Parents in New Jersey were sent letters telling them their boys must wear female clothes - suggesting cheerleader outfits and poodle skirts
The show at Maude Wilkins Elementary School was supposed to mark Women's History Month, but sparked outrage from some mums.
"My son was very upset," said Janine Giandomenico. "He said, 'Mommy, please don't make me do this.'"
Stacy Bowen, a mother of two young children, added: "I was just so outraged. I find it completely alarming that a school would do this."
In a 16-page pack sent home with students, teacher Tonya Uibel informed parents that all students in her third grade class would have to participate in the activity.

Sooooo—isn’t this the fine fruits of a so-called education.
Approximate average of 2/3rds property taxes go for public school districts. Parents should storm these evil school districts with pitchforks and clubs for dementing the minds of their children in which they pay huge taxes for.... Out e’fn rageous!
Yeah, but.....
Does all remember the 3 Rs?
(promise me you'll get an assistant to help you with the grammar)
: )
Glad to see the smiley face attached to your response, not a big fan of the grammar police. I guess you can understand why I havent removed my children quite yet from public schooling. lol.
Dunno about fifty years ago, but forty years ago when I was on the football team we dressed up as girls for some gag cheerleading skits. A small town I used to live in had the local townsmen dress up as women for a “beauty contest” fund raiser every year.
Before getting outraged, I’d check to see if they were trying to make the boys really dress in drag or if it was being done for laughs.
When a man has nothing more to lose, what can he be deprived of?

When are conservatives finally going to wise up?
1) It is impossible to reform single payer, socialist-funded, government schooling because SOCIALISM CAN NOT BE REFORMED! Simply by attending children learn that the government can take money from their neighbor to pay for a service their parents want for tuition-free. Well?..Duh!...If the government can give their parents free schooling why not a thousand other free socialist stuff?
2) Conservatives must work to SHUT DOWN EVERY GOVERNMENT K-12 SCHOOL IN THE NATION!!!
3) Conservatives must set up education foundations that would award grants to individual teachers who would open CONSERVATIVE one room schools in their homes or small rented spaces.
Do the above, and soon young conservative adults ( fully prepared to defend their faith and our nation's founding principles) would be filling our nation's college classrooms and taking over positions of power in our culture.
Do the above and we wouldn't need to be constantly fighting, year after year, Marxist legislation. As it is now, conservatives hack away at the trees while the Marxists are growing Marxist forests all around us in our government K-12 schools. Geeze! Is it any wonder that we never seem to win?
As someone has already posted, ya’ll are old fashioned. After dressing boys up as girls, the really important to teach children how to roll a condom on a cucumber.
Math, English, geography and history are so gone. Don’t need that stuff with The Marxist Onada and his band of angry commies guiding one through life.
Adults voluntarily dressing in “drag” is not the issue. After all, cross-dressing is hardly unknown in the theatrical world. I always thought it a trifle weird, even at events like Harvard’s annual Hasty Pudding Club supper, but if it’s all done in fun: well - fine, then. My not-unfounded suspicion is that a purposeful indoctrination was at work here, and performed upon impressionable schoolchildren as a means of challenging both social norms and parental authority. We’ll see.
Skirt, huh. Well, there’s always wearing full Highland dress including a kilt, tam, etc. What culture and time period - Scotland and pick a century. Have a little fun and watch the lefties squirm.
"Don't dream it... be it !"
Doing dress-up voluntarily and for laughs is one thing, giving them no choice is another. The key word here is voluntary, which this was not.
Thanks for having a good sense of humor.
If you only knew how many times my fingers got a mind of their own, and typed something different than what I told them to.
It happens. I see it all the time here on FR. I just couldn’t resist ribbing you though, because of your comment about home schooling.
You are now an official member of a fairly large ‘club’ here on FR. I am a long time member.
This was third grade students not high school students. I think the age difference is the big factor. It wasn’t a gag thing but a history lesson. It really isn’t age appropriate to be honest.
I don’t have any kids in that school, or any other, but if I did, I’d be down there with my 12 gauge, pronto.
So, what did they axe them?

We did the same thing, but for the girl's football(tag) game.
There's a picture of us in the school yearbook.
We did it because we wanted to. Because it was a tradition. And because the cheerleaders helped us get 'fitted', if you know what I mean.
AND we weren't in third grade, and no one told us we HAD TO do it.
If crap like this doesn’t convince the majority of people to do away with the public school monopoly - I don’t know what will.
