Obama cancels Poland trip due to volcano fallout

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama has canceled plans to travel to Poland for the funeral of President Lech Kaczynski (lekh kah-CHIN'-skee).
A White House statement Saturday cited hazardous flying conditions posed by the ash cloud from the erupting volcano in Iceland.
The cloud has forced huge portions of European airspace to be closed. The fear is that microscopic particles of highly abrasive ash could endanger passengers by causing aircraft engines to fail.
Obama was to leave Washington on Saturday night for Sunday's state funeral of Kaczynski in Krakow, Poland. The Polish president, his wife and 94 others died in a plane crash last Saturday.

The event will be better withouth that man there, but it is too bad the President of the United States of America can not find a way to attend.

I seriously doubt the Poles want him there anyway. It’s not like He and Michelle were close to the Polish President and the 1st Lady of Poland. The whole world dislikes Obama. (except some select Islamic leaders)

I agree. He would hijack the event & force a terrible speech on the people who have suffered quite enough. No doubt he’d focus on his brilliance in negotiating with our good friends in the Kremlin.
If he had the capacity for shame, he’d know better than to show his face in Poland after what he did to those people on missle defense.

You are so right. Kaczynski and the others were on their way to commemorate victims of Communism. To have the Commie 0bammie there would have been an obscenity. God bless Poland. Western civilization owes you an enormous debt.
Plans are already under way to create a VOLCANO TAX, which will help BAILOUT the airlines and provide SHOVEL-READY jobs to clean up the ash on the ground. (/sarcasm ....maybe)
