I just had a very interesting and somewhat confusing conversation with New Orleans Police Department Public Information Officer Bob Young.
Mr. Young confirmed to me that the New Orleans police had indeed taken statements from both of the victims, Jindal aide Allee Bautsch and her boyfriend, Joe Young. He confirmed that in those statements, the victims reported that their assailants had indeed hurled insults at them, and the insults were, and I quote, of a political nature. Describing the entire attack, he went on to say it was of a political nature. I then repeated what he told me, and he confirmed it as accurate. I had a witness on the call, Mark Harvey of the Snooper Report, who can confirm this. However, for reasons Im not clear about, when I pressed him again later, he began to backtrack a bit, perhaps with some cya in regard to his superiors, and he said that he was not authorized to give an official statement about the contents of the insults, and for the record, it had not officially been made clear to him what the contents of those insults were. He ended up going from yes, it was of a political nature to Im not sure. Mark, an established blogger, was as baffled as I.
My read on this: he caught himself talking out of school in a relaxed opening with me, and then backtracked before he got his ass in trouble.
He then informed me that the lead detective on the case was one Detective Nick Gernin, a crack officer, one of the very best in the 8th Division, the Division assigned to cover the French Quarter. Detective Gernin had told him yesterday that he had a couple of hours of surveillance tapes to review last night. Mr. Young told me that the Detective wasnt in the office yet, but that as soon as he was, he would get a report from him as to the contents of those tapes, and he would call me with whatever their was to report about them.
Mr. Young also told me that there was no other new information to report on the case at this time, and that there were no named suspects on anybodys mind or list, yet.
Developing
Which proves why it is so important for someone to be governor or a state before people start anointing someone to POTUS status, we can only see how they will govern if they actually have to govern... and so far Jindal is not impressing me nearly as much as his resume would have had a person believe...
No doubt about it! Our media is corrupt and nothing but sociopathic shills for Obama and the democrats now.
LOL!
Are the cops secretive to protect Jindal/staffers? or SEUI thugs?
Bump
What could they have done that deserved broken bones and a concussion?
Where was his?
Have you been following this on The Hayride? That guy has been all over this story for the past few days.
Yes, I’ve been following it closely. He’s doing much of the original investigative reporting. Right here. Right now.
Hate crime!
Good point. And, as I’m sure you’re aware, this is far from the first time. I’m sure there are some FReepers around who remember when Don and Terri Adams was roughed up in Philly. And then accused by their attackers of instigating the assault.
Or the La Raza thugs during the immigration debates in 2006.
Or the lawfare of the National Lawyer’s Guild abetting the physical intimidation of the brownshirts against the Minutemen and others...
It’s not civil, hasn’t been for some time. The good guys just haven’t fought back yet.
Some fact checking... There is a Bob Young who is a public information officer for the NOPD.

Several things can be determined from the posted photo.
1) White NOLA cop or pistol armed security guard is in the foreground,
2) The red mark on Browns face looks like he got hit by a improvised weapon (Keys or jewlery?) so his attacker could land a harder punch, hence the broken jaw,
3) He got a shot or two in, judging by knuckles on his right hand,
4) Allee Bautsch is not showing bruises from boot stomping on the portions of her legs in the picture,
5) She is on a granate side walk with sharp edged curbs,
6) She has lost a shoe and,
7) She seems to still have her purse in this photo, behind Browns left shoulder.
That makes the shoved and hurt in the fall scenario for her broken leg more likely than stomping injuries.
The photo evidence of a weapon strike on Browns face and Allee Bautschs purse after the assault added to the sad fact that French Quarter muggers now-a-days are non-white, makes their attack a targeted non-mugging.
So you think a man and a woman walked out of a restaurant and started a fight with five thugs? What is wrong with your head?
7. She seems to still have her purse in this photo, behind Browns left shoulder
From various published reports...it has been stated she used her purse as a pillow while awaiting help.
While in the ambulance she reported her purse was missing.
NO finests???
Wow, you sure can tell a lot from one photo, Sherlock. ( I think I should tell you that I’m being sarcastic, since you seem totally clueless)
