Several things can be determined from the posted photo.
1) White NOLA cop or pistol armed security guard is in the foreground,
2) The red mark on Brown’s face looks like he got hit by a improvised weapon (Keys or jewlery?) so his attacker could land a harder punch, hence the broken jaw,
3) He got a shot or two in, judging by knuckles on his right hand,
4) Allee Bautsch is not showing bruises from boot stomping on the portions of her legs in the picture,
5) She is on a granate side walk with sharp edged curbs,
6) She has lost a shoe and,
7) She seems to still have her purse in this photo, behind Brown’s left shoulder.
That makes the “shoved and hurt in the fall” scenario for her broken leg more likely than stomping injuries.
The photo evidence of a weapon strike on Brown’s face and Allee Bautsch’s purse after the assault added to the sad fact that French Quarter muggers now-a-days are non-white, makes their attack a “targeted non-mugging.”
7. She seems to still have her purse in this photo, behind Brown’s left shoulder
From various published reports...it has been stated she used her purse as a pillow while awaiting help.
While in the ambulance she reported her purse was missing.

You honestly think she tripped on the curb and broke her leg?!!? Come on! There’s reserving judgment until all of the evidence is in and then there’s stretching while looking for alternate conclusions!!
