This warning, along with an announcement that Iran would join the world's nuclear club within a month, raised the pitch of Iranian anti-US rhetoric to a new high Tuesday, April 13, as 47 world leaders gathered in Washington for President Barack Obama's Nuclear Security Summit.
The statement published by Kayhan said: "If the US strikes Iran with nuclear weapons, there are elements which will respond with nuclear blasts in the centers of America's main cities."
For the first time, DEBKAfile's military sources report, Tehran indicated the possibility of passing nuclear devices to terrorists capable of striking inside the United States.

Gee thanks. I have family there. Liberal, yes, but hardly worth killing them over.
Do you have a link ??
Just like cockroaches,if you don’t wipe them out then the infestation gets worse.
Ah, the old “We know they exist and are conspiring against us, but have no clue who they are” problem.
Thanks.
From what I’ve read the Spetsnaz would hold a graduation excercise by infiltrating Alaska. Probably part of their regular drill as well.
Tehran: If Iran Is Attacked, Nuclear Devices Will Go Off In American Cities
There's something very unconvincing to me, about a country who doesn't have any nuclear weaponry, but is trying to get some right now -- saying that if they are attacked (because they are "trying to get nuclear weaponry") -- that "nuclear devices" will go off in American cities ... :-) ...
Yeah, it's like someone saying, I'm trying to get a gun, and if you stop me from getting a gun, I'll shoot you... LOL ...
I do remember however, hearing about pre-placed caches of weapons, munitions and communications equipment in Western countries thatd been placed by the Soviets. Has any information come to light of exactly what was in them? I think that the Swiss disarmed one of them after itd been identified by Mitrokhin.
Here's some information on Vasili Mitrokhin and the Mitrokhin Archive ...
I remember hearing of it, lots of mention of it through this search:
I stand corrected, the security boobytrap protecting the cache exploded when the Swiss attempted to safe it.
Sorry to hear of it. I hope it all comes out well.
Prayers and hugs.

No doubt about your accuracy on such scores . . .
However . . .
Given the oligarchy’s schemes . . . and desires to bring this great land down around the ankles of all the serfs and slaves . . .
and various roague states with the know how . . . and the deliberately porous borders . . .
I have NO DOUBT that there are sufficient nukes scattered strategically around awaiting the oligarchy’s signal for lighting them off.
Shoot, the oligarchy has the power to have them transferred to the terrorists from our own stockpiles should they desire to do it that way.
They can certainly manage it from say North Korea, if they find that particularly convenient.
Maintenance of such crackers could be a little bit of a challenge depending on where such are located—again, not a real problem with an octopus with such incredible resources.
Complexity
is a great cover for lots of skull-duggery.
Particularly fluid international convoluted oligarchy managed multi-layered to the max complexity.

“Complexity”
When dealing with conspiracy, battle plans, etc is a usual sure fire way to fail.
KISS.
As part of the geopolitical oligcarchy shell game . . .
it’s more than a little plausible that the terrorists in Teheran would have some awareness and contact with at least some of the terrorists within our borders.
There are reportedly 30,000 Iranian sleeper agents all ready and targeted to shoot pastors, ministers, preachers etc. of Christian churches on signal . . . within our borders for some time.
No. I remember eading about it years ago. Can’t recall the publication. Seemed credible at the time.
True.
IN a lot of respects depending . . .
Operational units tend to operate within relatively simple, straight-forward boundaries, as I understand such things.
The complexities of the larger social mileu and geopolitical scene affords a lot of cover and flexibility for maneuvering, however. imho.
No sweat.
I have tons and tons of bits of puzzle pieces of the same order of stuff with the refs long gone.
What would happen to the economy is a nuke went off in a major US city?
Why take the risk.
Solution: Preemption.
This entire country would come unglued...
We got a little taste of it after Katrina, and Rita right afterwards cause one of the largest mas evacs of a major city in our history...
Put the two together and you’ll imagine what a nuke will do popping off somewhere...
