Activist who challenges Obama's citizenship (Orly Taitz) is booted from Tax Day Tea Party
LA Times ^ | 04/13/2010 | Seema Mehta

After candidates complain to organizers, Orly Taitz's speaking engagement is withdrawn. Taitz has been a leading voice in the discredited 'birther' movement.

(snip)

One candidate threatened to withdraw from the event before Tuesday's decision to uninvite Taitz. John Dennis, who is running for the Republican nomination to oppose House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in San Francisco, said he would not appear on the same stage as Taitz.

"The presence of a discredited publicity seeker on the same platform with patriotic Americans distorts the focus of our movement, distracts from our common message and gives ammunition to those who continue to question our legitimacy," Dennis said in a statement.

Actually a conspiracy doesn't mean "crackpot" or "rumor".

It means a coordination by 2 or more persons to engage in an enterprise (often underhanded, often criminal) together (often to deceive).

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/conspiracy

con·spir·a·cy  –noun,plural-cies.
1.the act of conspiring.
2.an evil, unlawful, treacherous, or surreptitious plan formulated in secret by two or more persons; plot.
3.a combination of persons for a secret, unlawful, or evil purpose: He joined the conspiracy to overthrow the government.
4.Law. an agreement by two or more persons to commit a crime, fraud, or other wrongful act.
5.any concurrence in action; combination in bringing about a given result.

Orly claims to be a Republican. Berg is a Hillary Democrat.

Berg had only a couple of lawsuits. As a former deputy attorney general of PA, he is a relatively competent attorney.

Orly Taitz is not a competent attorney. She has filed multiple lawsuits to see what will stick. She can’t follow basic procedures that a law student would understand. She misinterprets nearly every judicial ruling handed down and then makes wild claims about how she’ll have Obama out of office in 30 days. She’s made herself a public nuisance and does everything in her power to keep the spotlight on herself. That’s how she became the head birther - dogged pursuit of utter incompetence.

Actually, no. In law school, you learn generic common law. Little of it applies in the real world, many states are statutory jurisdictions. Common law is judge made.

Learning the actual paper flow in the court system is an entirely separate matter & requires some time law clerking doing the scut work of running around to the courts filing motions.

Each court system also has its own set of local rules as does the federal court.

Not much in law school prepares you to actually go out and practice. Common law is taught because it’s not state specific.

OK, Taitz is an easy target. Now where do you stand concerning the hidden records?

Berg also had a Gore Recount lawsuit to unseat Justices O'Connor and Thomas after the Supreme Court decision.

Berg also had a 9-11 truther lawsuit against Bush.

But for some reason, he's only called a "birther nut".

Much as Judicial Watch ran interference FOR the Clintons. Best way to derail any successful action is to tie up the courts and the movement.

This birther nonsense will be used by the MSM to discredit any Republican that goes near it,

The media points the same finger of "crackpot hysteria" when someone says that members of the Obama administration are active Socialists.

I think they should be treated the same way the Left tried to treat W.'s service record. Meaning that, insist that they be released.

(I simply bring that up as a parallel--the Left went bonkers over Bush's service in the National Guard--and don't forget that DUI/DWI/whatever in Maine). If any lefty tries to claim that Obama's birth certificate is none of your business, shove that in his face.

If I were running for President I could easily and willingly present my legitimate birth certificate and proof of citizenship from the University of Chicago Lying-in Hospital. He can't, and won't.

Obama was running for President when a Republican was in the White House. If he were not a U.S. citizen, the FBI certainly would have known it and Obama's candidacy would have come to a screeching halt. A great time to drop the bombshell would have been after the Democrat Convention.

Once the constitutional requirement for citizenship was met, then the issue becomes, "What is Obama hiding behind the privacy laws?"

The answer is, "His carefully manipulated public image."

Obama's original birth certificate probably lists him as being born out of wedlock. The U.S. Government knew that his father had a wife in Kenya, Kezia Aoko Obama, as a result of his visa application and polygamy is not legal in the U.S. Legally, his mother's marital status was "Single" and would have been listed as "Single" on Obama's original birth certificate.

In addition, his first name was probably listed on the original birth certificate as "Barry" and his surname may even have been listed as "Dunham".

The electronically generated "official copies" issued by the State of Hawaii are probably sanitized versions of the "ammended" birth certificate.

Obama "can" produce the original birth certificate.

He "won't" because it shows that his public image is a fraud.

I want a SCOTUS ruling on whether or not he is a natural born citizen, but until and unless I get one, I will fight Obama on his agenda and actions that will discredit him not me.

Well! For someone who thinks it is sooooooo important to "fight Obama on his agenda" you are wasting a lot of time on the eligibility issue.

The Obama team hounded a Republican named Jack Ryan out of the an Illinois campaign with the forced release of his sealed divorce records.

Obama has no claim to privacy here. None at all.

I still get pissed thinking about what the Trib did. And they claimed that they were serving the public interest. Meanwhile, a little-known state politician becomes a U.S. Senator, then runs for President, and the Trib can’t even be bothered to kiss his ass. They did nothing.

The leak (and there was no “forced” release of the lawfirm records) of Bush’s DUI case was an October Surprise. It came a few days before the general election in 2000. It clearly cost Bush some support.

If it cost him 0.52% of the vote, then it cost him the popular vote in 2000. Gore’s margin of victory in the popular vote was that thin.

You want to talk about attempts to steal an election?

If AP hadn’t forced Dan Rather’s hand with the forged National Guard memos (they both had copies, AP was going to break the “story” as fact), it could’ve thrown the 2004 election, historical accuracy be damned.

The Left knows to sit on an October Surprise (like Foleygate) until the hyperbolic statements and lies in the media cannot be countered in time to recover. The subsequent Congressional investigation into the Mark Foley scandal showed that both the media and the DNC (who COLLUDED on that “culture of corruption” story in 2006) both knew more than GOP leadership and knew it sooner BOTH opting to sit on the reports until they could be used to political advantage in October.
