Here is video of President Obama today at a news conference closing his "Nuclear Security Summit," where he made the odd statement that "whether we like it or not, we (United States) remain a dominant military superpower, and when conflicts break out, we get pulled into it."
Whether we like it or not?
Does that mean President Obama does not like America being a "dominant military superpower?"
Evil bastard!
This is at the core of leftist thought.
They claim to not hate the United States itself, and they are correct. What they hate -- what they loathe -- is U.S. power. And any projection of U.S. power by its wealth, status, military, economy, diplomacy, etc.
They carry a perverse desire to see the U.S. harmed, for the same underlying reason that some teenage girls cut themselves, and some teenage boys engage in self-destructive violence: self-loathing. It is a political version of all psychological disorders rooted in self-hatred.
I agree with your comments. I think the RNC is a bit clueless with all of this.
Not for long if obama can help it.
RNC? Clueless? Nawwwwww.....
That’s why myself and many of us here prefer to work for local candidates and give money that way.
Better than giving Steel $$ for his private jet rides.
Laptops down...on the road will get back with you soon.
LOL...from scanning the replies to the initial post. The president hates America...
It is taken out of contents. However, perhaps it was meant as this...
The world looks to America not only as a savior by force but also in peace...Bush almost ruined the foreground in which this legacy was created.
I for one like the idea of carrying a big stick with calm words.
IMHO, We have to regain this status...while throwing rocks at terrorists we can not forget to keep the big red dog sleeping on the porch guessing...I question the significance of sound bites without the entire statement being picked apart while not looking at the big picture. Would we have preferred the president to have implied stick this big nuke in your pie-hole? That would have made our communist bro’s want to play nice now wouldn’t it?
President Reagan once joked he had a plan to solve the Cold War with the Soviet Union, "the bombing starts in 5 minutes".
Meanwhile Ted Kennedy met with Soviet agents including members of the KGB to privately undercut Ronald Reagan's policies with the Soviets.
