Why would they wait four days before releasing a description of just ONE of the perps?
This still seems extremely fishy to me.
New Orleans Police Department is notoriously corrupt. Does sound like political cover now that the story is out.

When I lived in the university town of Gainesville, Florida, the GOP office was attacked several times. It was in a black neighborhood, and blacks used to follow us to our cars and taunt us with chants but never did anything physical.
The really aggressive folks were the university faculty members. One of them was arrested after throwing bricks through our window at night.
My favorite, however, was the white male UF faculty member who was arrested for attacking a cardboard cutout of GWB we had in the doorway!
These people are nuts.
