A new CNN/Opinion Research poll tests some 2012 general election matchups for the first time, and finds that President Obama leads four potential foes: Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich and Mike Huckabee.
2012 Presidential General Election Matchup (907 RVs, 4/9-11, MoE +/- 3.5%) Obama 53 -- Romney 45 Obama 54 -- Huckabee 45 Obama 55 -- Palin 42 Obama 55 -- Gingrich 43

CNN says Huckabee is the man. Well if he is his numbers on Intrade should be going up shortly. By the way since the Clemmons’ episode at the end of Nov. 2009 in which he killed 4 cops Huck’s numbers on Intrade have sunk into the abyss. Will leading a CNN allow him to climb out soon? Stay tuned!
Nobody could be better qualified than Daniels. I think the chances are increasing every day that he eventually will withdraw his oft-repeated "Shermanesque" statements and enter the ring. If he does, he'll probably become the odds-on favorite both for the nomination and for the election.
And BTW, I strongly recommend watching his terrific C-Span interview, which is at the following site:
That’s why reason #2 is germane.
Why can’t you employ traditional English?
Yep. If the MSM is once again successful in getting another RINO nominated (Huckster or Romney) then 0bama has a crack at another 4 years of destruction.
I so want to see someone like Paul Ryan run against Zero. Barry would be absolutely CRUSHED in every debate.
Rick Perry has done some things in the past that don’t impress me. If he got the nomination, I’d vote for him.....then again if the GOP nominated a ham sandwich at this point, I’d vote for it as well.
It’s still the commie news network.Take it for what it’s worth.
Whatever. This is nothing significant ... it’s only the media trying to sway the vote early instead of waiting until the election year.
Oh no no no. Not you at all I call their bluff.. Sorry if it sounded as if I am doubting you...
“Why cant you employ traditional English?”
why cant handle slang or something? Typically i am in a hurry when i right this stuff
though i agree with you about Palin i disagree with the whole Huck/Romney preference. i am of the opinion that Romney is slightly better than Huck mainly because of the whole pardon fiasco. that will get him hammered in a general heck the WIllie Horton ads are already out there Dems just have to change some names around and viola Huck is toast. Romney is damaged with his health care crap so like you i am looking for someone who as you but it “Reagan was to Carter”. i am not sure who that would be yet but so far i like John Thune and Mitch Daniels although right now my favorite current Gov is CHris Christie down in NJ. He is giving the Teachers union the finger and really standing up for fiscally conservative issues. i really dont know how socially conservative he is but i do like his tenure as gov so far down there.

Hey, what about a Daniels-Christie ticket? Works for me!
this is strange...how can the hickster be up this far?
“Daniels-Christie ticket? Works for me!”
sounds great to me too!
probably name ID
he ran before, has his own show and pops up on commentary here and there on other news shows.
The Huckster is no dummy. He's latched himself to Rush's coattails with a nation-wide 5-minute commentary snippet that comes on directly after Limbaugh's daily gig. He speaks on every subject under the sun, always folksy and likeable, most of it unremarkable drivel.
Then too, on his Saturday night television show, lots of folks collapse on the couch with beer and baked Cheetos on the TV table, to watch and doze, watch and doze.....only to go on high alert and get positively orgasmic at the end of the program when he picks up his geetar and jams with the crew.
Huckabee is one walking TV and radio commercial for himself and he gets paid for it rather than having to lay out big bucks for self-promotion.
Like I say, Huckleberry ain't no dummy.
Leni
thats right
he is a very successful self promoter
gets paid for keeping his mug in the public consciousness
do i think he should be president? not really though given a choice between Huck or Obama i will obviously vote Huck.
yep agree he aint no dummy. A sleazy scumbag con artist but certainly not a dummy.
