Steny Hoyer: Radio host comments ‘dangerous’

By JAKE SHERMAN | 4/13/10 12:45 PM EDT

The No. 2 Democrat in the House blasted a Minnesota radio host for calling Democrats lying, thieving, communists at a rally for Rep. Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin in Minneapolis.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said he was “very, very concerned and disappointed” by Minneapolis radio host Chris Baker, who spoke at the rally last week alongside the two Republicans, rallying up the crowd by calling Democrats in Washington “lying, thieving ... bunch of commies.”

“I don’t think that’s very useful, not only do I not think it’s useful, I think it creates an atmosphere and a debate that is neither constructive and can sometimes be dangerous,” Hoyer said at his weekly meeting with reporters.

Hoyer waded directly into the anger that has been bubbling nationwide over the health care overhaul vote, calling on lawmakers to “urge the American people and conduct ourselves in a way that provides an environment for the civility.” While acknowledging differences between members of Congress and political parties, Hoyer said “debate ought to be civil, ought to be constructive and ought to be designed to educate the public, not to incite the public as to the positions of each party.”

That's nothing compared to what the libs do. Remember the Air America broadcast where they would mention George Bush and suggest things he could do with his initiatives, covered over with the sounds of gunshots? Where was Hoyer’s outrage about that, the lousy POS? How about making a movie about assassinating George Bush? Wasn't that “dangerous” enough for this lousy bum that he wouldn't speak out about that? Imagine what Hoyer and the other dirty ‘Rats would say if someone made a similar movie about Obama. They'd be shouting it from the rooftops: DANGEROUS, RACIST! Lousy hypocrite ‘Rats.

Hoyer.. **calling on lawmakers to “urge the American people...***

Legislating and lecturing to the American people - but never listening to the people they are supposed to serve.

Typical Democrats - where was Steny Hoyer when anti-Americans were demonstrating and screaming that President Bush was a murderer???? Has he ever criticized Keith Olbermann’s rants?

Hoyer said “debate ought to be civil, ought to be constructive and ought to be designed to educate the public, not to incite the public as to the positions of each party.”

Oh, like the debate you guys had about the government takeover of health care? That was certainly constructive, educational and not inciteful. We need more of that. It certainly helped the tone of the nation.

What hypocrisy. Where were these statement when the Dems were staging their antiwar protests or Code Pink activities?

There is only one part of the statement that is incorrect.

Like vampires, it is a scourge of commies.

.House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said he was “very, very concerned and disappointed” by Minneapolis radio host Chris Baker ... calling Democrats in Washington “lying, thieving ... bunch of commies.” ... "...ought to be constructive and ought to be designed to educate the public, not to incite the public as to the positions of each party."

Considering that the democrats in Congress are lying, thieving communists, I'd say the radio talk host is constructively educating the public. I'm concerned too, and I wish Steny Hoyer would fix the problem by telling the truth, keeping his hands out of our wallets and our children's wallets, and respecting capitalism and the free markets.

If you want to anger a conservative, lie about him.
If you want to anger a liberal, tell the truth about him.

It’s “unfair” when you quote Democrat politicians.

Steny won in 2008 by 74%-26%, so he’s probably pretty safe. i just hope he’s lonely surrounded by real Americans instead of socialists next year.

He will blame all attacks by the dums on Radio hosts.

Since we have no TV stations or newspapers to speak up for us.

Wonder why that is?

It would seem that the lying, cheating POS Nazi socialist is communicating a threat to the Radio host; implying that something bad might happen for speaking against the party of slavery, secession and the KKK.
