The thing that worries me is these people have no sense of restraint. There is nothing they would not do given the power to do it. Most people are restricted in their actions by a moral compass. These people have none.

“No moral compass...” Those are the EXACT three words I have used to describe the reasons for the behavior of people in the New England region. I have lived in the south and New England, and there is a distinct difference in the two ‘cultures’...the lack of a moral compass in the northeast is the primary reason; that is why they embrace abortion, gay marriage, etc.

Conservatives think, Progressives feel. Thus anything a progressive “feels” is right is right. They do not understand the difference between Liberty and License.
Understanding Liberty requires a sense of moral restraint and understanding that just because you can do something does not mean you should. Progressives confuse being libertine with Liberty. Because they can do something, they see no reason not to do it as long as it satisfies their feelings
