Wow, I wonder if the baby that was supposed to have Down’s was actually okay? I’ve heard many stories here and elsewhere where the baby was allowed to continue baking and didn’t have Down’s. Either way, they killed two children. If she didn’t want the one with Down’s, I’ve read that there are waiting lists to adopt them.

This is standard operating procedure. I carried twins almost 8 years ago where one twin had problems and the other was normal. I was offered the same procedure, but my OB knew I would never do something like that.

The medical community put a lot of pressure on the parents to abort because of Down Syndrome. They do not think the child will live a useful life.

I can tell you from experience, that is not the case and our son has been a wonderful teacher for so many in his beautiful 6 years on this earth so far.

Unless they did amno there is NO definitive test that will tell you your unborn child has DS. My brother in law was told his daughter would have DS, she was born WITHOUT DS, and the doctor wanted them to get an abortion. We were told our unborn son would be born fine, he was worn with DS. Medicine is not perfect and I have no doubt beautiful babies were murdered due to an inaccurate DS diagnosis while in the womb.

I can’t imagine wanting to choose which child is born and which is not? IIRC when they do this selective method there is no guarantee that the other baby will survive it too so by doing it in the first place you risk the whole pregnancy.
