Patton had some physical problems and he absolutely refused to enter the medic’s tent before all GIs had been taken care of and had left the tent.

Today’s Story about General Patton Reminds me of another TRUE Story!
Back in the 1980’s I had a job as the Director of Activities in a Nursing Home.
One of my favorite Duties was providing Music Programs for the Residents, and one of my biggest fans was George.
George had served in the War against Pancho Villa and one of the few veterans of the Blue Coated Horse Cavalry left in the Country. We had a running joke going about our Friendship because I am an INDIAN!
Anyway, George GAVE me an ACTUAL pin from his old Uniform. It has a White Horse on it, and it says “Valor and Courage”. It is not a “Medal” but some kind of Service Pin.
It is on my Motorcycle Jacket, but not only is it pinned there, it is SUPERGLUED as well.
Anyway, Thank you for Reminding me of Him.

“It’s only important for me to know!” Great man, Gen. Patton.
Anoreth - at sea between Hawaii and Guam - has read everything about him, and she had me send a volume of his war reminiscences to her on the cutter.

My Dad (served with him) loved him and I do too.
Patton—in the finest tradition of military leaders— like King Leonidas and Belisarius and Emperor Paleologus XIII:
Honorable not political.

A PRAYER OF PROTECTION
The light of God surround you The love of God enfold you The power of God protect you The presence of God watch over you Wherever you are, God is, And all is well. Amen.
BLESS THIS HOUSE Bless this house O Lord we pray; Make it safe by night and day;
Bless these walls so firm and stout, Keeping want and trouble out:
Bless the roof and chimneys tall, Let thy peace lie over all;
Bless this door, that it may prove ever open to joy and love.
Bless these windows shining bright, Letting in God's heav'nly light;
Bless the hearth a'blazing there, with smoke ascending like a prayer;
Bless the folk who dwell within, keep them pure and free from sin;
Bless us all that we may be Fit O Lord to dwell with thee;
Bless us all that one day we May dwell O Lord with thee.

I don’t know if anyone thought MY friend George was George Patton! Of Course NOT! Just to clear things up, George Patton was killed in a car accident in Europe during the War.
The first name was coincidental. LOL
