Fred Phelps ran for state office as a democrat. He was also a delegate for Al Gore.

WBC is nothing more than a family cult. It is not a church in the true sense since only family members and invited guests can attend.

Ku Klux Klan LLC is a registered Arkansas corporation. According to the group’s website, it seeks to revive the ideals of the original post Civil War KKK, repudiating the post-1915 revived Klan that was so powerful in the 20s, as well as the current zoo of yahoo racists and neo-nazis who use the name.
It is still a racist group and makes no bones about it, but there is in fact a great deal of difference among the various Klan groups that represent the three main periods of Klan history.

Yep. And David Duke was a Klansman who ran for the Republican nomination in 1990. It’s a Southern thang.

Duke is the only person in recent times to be decertified by the LA GOP.

The Ku Klux Klan, LLC. has not or EVER will have ANY connection with The "Westboro Baptist Church". We absolutely repudiate their activities. Mother of all SLAMS - Westboro Baptist Church and the Phelps gang is to radical for even the KKK.
Wonder when the SPLC and ACLU will condemn the Phelps Gang. Not holding my breath for it.

Its a Southern thang. Nope. Like both Obama's "Black Liberation Theology" pastors' (Jeremiah Wright and Jim Wallis), it's a RACIST thang. His pal "reverend" Michael Pfleger promotes BLT as well.

"Attempts to revive the [Indiana] Klan were made in the 1960s and 1970s, but the organization was never able to regain the membership or power it held during the 1920s."
Though the rest of us don't like to claim it, the Klan is still alive and well in the South.

More shocking than the KKK blasting the Westboro Cult....is how Liberal groups refuse to publicly condemn Westboro.....none of the Gay Rights Groups, the SPLC, ACLU, SEIU....they all have no problem with Westboro
I guess being anti Bush war is more important than hating gays and hoping people die over them.....

That “church” is not a Baptist Church, it is one lunatic family claiming to be a church.

You know, I think early on in FR there may have been some of those creatures about. Kleagles. I once received a FReepmail after an anti-PC comment I made regarding blacks. Anti-PC, NOT racist, mind you. A racist sent me a bunch of links and info hoping I would be likeminded. I was disgusted and sickened and reported him.
How proud I am of FR that they know they are not welcome here.

"The first appearance of the KKK in New Jersey was in 1921, where it had crossed over from New York and Pennsylvania. An attorney named Arthur H. Bell was the state's first Grand Dragon, and continued serving in that post until the Ku Klux Klan was disbanded in 1944.[1].
If you're going to link an article, why don't you read it first? This was practically the first sentence, and the whole article speaks of the NJ Klan is PAST TENSE. No Klan in NJ. Alive and well in the South.

The message is that to be Baptist is to be the denomination of hate. Baptists hate the America that is disappearing and the brave military that protects and insures our freedom.
