Obama has stated it, himself: he doesn’t spend much time worrying about “process.” He is mostly determined to get the “disrupt and destroy” work done.
Yep! Agree Fascist at this point...wonder how far he will go...don’t really want to know.
He may hate small business, which can't do anything to advance his goals and which breeds a pesky sentiment of self-sufficiency among the public, but Obama's whole game is to try to co-opt large corporations and bring them under the protective umbrella of government. "Just do our bidding on health care and work rules," he says, "And we'll guarantee your market share and underwrite your poor decision-making." The larger corporations thus become a functional arm of government, distributing benefits to loyal union voters and making campaign contributions to important Obama team members in the House and Senate.
All too many large entities think this is a good deal. Which is why Waxman got so annoyed when a few of them deviated from the talking points on health care a couple of weeks ago. Ron Paul has the terminology wrong - "fascist" or "mercantilist" is more accurate than "corporatist" - but he correctly identifies that these entities are benefiting from a unseemly relationship with the Administration that is anything but capitalist in spirit.
well I lived in a socialist country and I know how it works and I can honestly say that Ron Paul has no clue what he is talking about.
That’s not saying much, correct though you are.
actually it is more accurate to call him a fascist, in the classic sense. There is certainly a mixture of textbook definitions of socialism and fascism in fedgov and the obama admin in particular.
o and I agree
“Hes a corporatist, Paul quickly added (since nobody had ever heard of the term before), meaning the president takes care of corporations and corporations take over and run the country.
I think that’s called socialism. It is one of the core concepts of socialism.
Regardless to Ron Paul’s belief in words he just made up, a ‘corporatist’ is just as bad for the country as a communist or socialist.
I think people have just has it with him....he’s too overboard at times and that’s why he will always be a third party candidate if that.
Well technically Obama is a fascist.
“Obama’s not a socialist”...The other guy that shares that view is Mitch McConnel or however he spells his name. Talk show host from Cinci syndicated on saturdays. On every show he works that point of view in. The problem with both twerps is that they have people agreeing with them.
The main characteristic of socialism (and of communism) is public ownership of the means of production, and, therefore, the abolition of private property. The right to property is the right of use and disposal. Under fascism, men retain the semblance or pretense of private property, but the government holds total power over its use and disposal.
The dictionary definition of fascism is: a governmental system with strong centralized power, permitting no opposition or criticism, controlling all affairs of the nation (industrial, commercial, etc.), emphasizing an aggressive nationalism . . .
The American College Dictionary,
New York: Random House, 1957.
This is why we've argued that Obama is a Fascist. GM, green energy, etc are all acts of Fascism, but the real pinaacle of this regime is the mortgage mod programs tailored to keep the banks afloat and substantially increase the suffering of the average Joe 6 Pack home owner in this country.... It is the third largest act of Fascism in real costs in the history of the world, with only Hitler's World War and Japan's Lost Decades causing greater losses of private capital.
If we ever need somebody that can split a frog's hair Ron Paul is our man. LOL
Corporatist? No. Obama hates Corporations and is a marxist. Paul is an idiot as usual.
I dunno. There is some truth to what he says. Some corporations that toe the line, like GE and GM, might benefit from Obama’s policies in the short to mid term. But they will be eaten last.
agreed
when I heard he said we do not need the FBI, CIA, homeland etc then I thought he was but then I heard him on foreign policy and that was it for me, I turned him off and yet everytime I hear about him he is again making stupid dumb comments
Call him whatever, Obama is a destroyer.
