Democrats and Republicans alike when doing number crunching weeks and weeks ago said the GOP may not be able to gain enough seats to take over either House. Close but not close enough, was the spin of many top Republicans commenting on the topic. Much has changed since then. Many not on the risk-factor radar screen back then have fallen. You have Murtha who passed away, you have scandal hitting some others, while others who were a shoe-in for reelection are dropping their name from the ballot. Times they are a changing.

Wants to work on the board of a bank and make $ before retirement

Here comes his payoff. He'll make millions -- just like the rest of the criminals who currently occupy the Congress and who have been busy as bees carving up the country for special interest cabals.

“Wants to work on the board staff of a bank banker”

Nah. Everything about him suggests that he’s a pitcher, not a catcher.

"I'd really like retribution, but that's not going to happen. These guys have gamed the system, and are winning big For their votes, I'm sure each and every one of the Dems who doesn't get re-elected will be richly rewarded."

Agreed and it's really treasonous!

We'll be burdened by their yoke of servitude, while the whores are quitting rather than facing a jury of their peers (actually superiors) in the November elections.

They won't run for office again, so they get to keep the pile of filthy lucre in their campaign war chest that was built over time from bribes and donations from useful idiots. Plus, they get their pension and non-Obamacare health treatment.

Just a follow the money question.

Do congress critters get to keep any funds in their campaign coffers when they retire?

Choice:
A) Run for re-election, spend lots of money, maybe loose.
B) Take the campaign money and stuff it in your freezer.

Hmmm....

Both Stupak and Frank will leave Congress with pensions of about $85K/yr. So who needs a job?

FWIW, I used to work in a DC Tobaconist back in the day and Frank would come in all the time to buy our finest cigars and how he chose them after 30 minutes or so I’ll leave to your imagination.

They all deserved double the sentence that Bernie Madoff saw.

The “investigation” was a fraud because the investigator was a corrupt figure who should have been ANSWERING questions, not asking them.

I just can't see Barney Frank resigning, unless there are some serious issues he can't deal with.

You never know. Scoot Brown did win Barney’s district. He may have some polling results that we’re not privy to. He’s not leaving unless he has a cushy place to put his fat ass.

Two of the Democrats from Tennessee are not running for re-election, but last I heard Steve Cohen was...I thought that was why he has been making inflammatory accusations against the Tea Party folks, to try to hold on to his seat in a district where the majority of Democrats are black and many think that the district should only be represented by a black person.

I suspect Barney’s “seat” would be a safe one if he runs.

However, he is a despicable egotist and if democrats lose Congress he will lose his position as banking chairman. That would be his reason for retiring.
