This column is a little inflammatory...
Last week, in this space, I appear to have awakened a movement larger than the one I achieved prior to my last colonoscopy. Who could have thought that government resentful "teabaggers" existed here in the rain forests of the Puget Sound?
After my recent personal encounter with these activists in the other Washington, I imagined that they were simply part of the extensive production capability of FOX News. Who would have thunk that they are very much alive and well and reading blogs here at Seattlepi.com?
It would appear at first glance that my experiences with the East Coast tribes of the Tea Party movement did not achieve much sympathy with the local chapters. Perhaps if I possessed the good looks and moneyed style of Sarah Palin I might have been greeted as a liberator and party functionary. Apparently, my "good looks" do not meet the standards of some of you. In some of the now-deleted comments on last week's installment, readers made it quite clear that my looks were not even close to the standards of Flip Wilson's "Geraldine" or even Milton Berle.

I refer to the tea partier haters as feltchers. Of course, urbandictionary provides an alternate definition for the word, but I don’t mean it that way. I only intend it to mean tea partier hatred. They don’t appreciate it when they seen alternate definitions.
Typical soon-to-be-unemployed condescending leftist. I call this the “Conservatives In The Mist” mode, in which the leftist writer sees herself as primatologist Diane Fossey (sp), just trying to underSTAND the lowly gorilla conservatives.
CHICKENHAWK vs. PATRIOTS
The use of homosexual slurs to smear conservatives is nothing new.
Use feltcher instead of fister.
Wasn’t it Anderson Cooper who cast the slur “teabagger” on the tea party patriots?
What is amusing is the outrage she displays by the simple act of her ideological opponents returning her own vituperation to her in the same form she belched it. Kettle, meet pot, and neither belong in the kitchen if they can't take the heat.
Personally, I miss the good old PI. Do you know how hard it is now to find decent bird cage liners and fishwrap? I feel guilty walking off with a half dozen Little Nickels each week.
What ever you do....dont Google for her picture.
Gotta laugh
Cuz that’s exactly what I thought of doing
And then I thought, might be scary ....
Perhaps my spider sense was right ????
Who woulda thunk it?
Someone who knows the concept empirically and practices it.
What ever you do....dont Google for her picture.
Thanks for the tip !!!

Yep. He and David Gergen sniggered about it (and, I guess they are experts on the practice) and touched off a whole line of smutty propaganda.
The semi-literate Left don't read the news. Their belief system is constructed from slogans, sound bites and bumper stickers. The Bush tax cuts lowered the tax rate of any American paying taxes. The deficit increased due to uncontrolled spending.
I call BS. Judging from the excerpt, had Barbara had a movement that large before her colonoscopy, she would have died from brain loss.
Jeez you guys on FR make me laugh out loud.
BTW
Do you think she had much of a brain before it went flying out the other end?
What kind of person uses such an image in a political article? Weird.
And I thought good the suggestion :
please explain to us just what a teabagger is, and why it applies. Explain in detail.
All we thought is that we were like the original patriotic Boston Tea Party protesting high taxes ........ why do you have such a problem with that?
Why does it make you vicious and obscene?
How much taxes must we pay? Is it ever enough???
I await her reply.
Well put. I've seen a lot of that lately. Some editor at CNN recently did a piece, for instance.
"The trouble with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money" - Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher
OK, now I have a visual to attach to the viral thought of hours spent on the toilet prepping for a colonoscopy. Thanks.
See my tagline!
