A Tea Party of Nevada candidate is blaming the state's Republican party for what he calls "trumped up" charges in a bad check case.
Criminal charges were dismissed Friday against Scott Ashjian after he paid nearly $5,600 to cover the disputed check and prosecution fees.
Ashjian, who is trying to unseat Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, later issued a statement maintaining he never bounced the $5,000 business check.
The Las Vegas asphalt businessman says the GOP is targeting him and his family to get him out of the running for Nevada's Senate seat. He's pledging to "finish this race."
Chief Deputy District Attorney Bernie Zadrowski denies his former post as a county Republican party chairman had anything to do with the charges.
The Tea Party Express has distanced itself from Ashjian.

So he never bounced the check, but he made full restitution on the money anyway. Sure.
He sounds mildly sociopathic, at a minimum.
The imposter is paid for by Reid For Senate.
I saw this guy being interviewed by Fox News a few days ago..he is a TERRIBLE actor..you can just tell he is being paid off to do this..and when he brought up beating Harry Reid in November, he had a smile on his face..he is a fraud..like with everything else, just follow the money and you will get your answer
If Reid is behind this guy, they did a horrible job of vetting. He’s got tax liens, pending foreclosure on his home, a long history of failed businesses, just lost his contractor license, and almost landed in jail on this charge.
Tell us Scott...did you use campaign funds to pay this personal debt?
The truth will out. Thousands of real tea partiers will see to it.
Is this the “tea party” guy who is being financed by some DemocRAT big wig? I heard a caller to a talk show alleging that some DemocRAT political operative was running someone as a Tea Party candidate in Nevada.
He’s gambling that conservative voters in NV won’t be smart enough to see that he is a con man.
Is that impostor even doing well in the polls..what kind of idiot would vote for a guy they never even heard of..wait..I think I answered my own question..idiots voted for Obama without knowing a damn thing about him..so I guess anything is possible

I haven’t been following this....who is the GOP favored candidate?
If the “charges were dismissed” why would he pay “prosecution charges” ? What am I missing here ?
Sue Lowden has a great shot at winning the nod.
I’m pretty sure Danny Tarkanian is ahead in the primary polls. Seems like a pretty good candidate.
MUSLIM
Somebody said that Beelzebub polls better than Harry Reid right now.
The only poll I have seen did show this schmuck giving the election to Reid. However, it was a good month or more ago before the effort began to expose him as having nothing to do with the Tea Party (not to mention a crook).
He may or may not be in the race on election day. He has a lot of skeletons and I have my doubts he will be able to raise much $$$.

No! It makes perfect sense to me. It is very difficult to buy a rich man, but a person in need is easy to manipulate. Remember, he is nothing to do with the Dems - he is an evil, racist, homophobe, white Tea Party Terrorist.
So spend the money in a campaign linking him to Reid and the Dems. Damn them together instead of individually.
