Is Tea Partyers’ hate really that strong?
Las Vegas Sun ^ | April 4, 2010 | By Brian Greenspun

Posted on 04/04/2010 6:18:09 AM PDT by Oldeconomybuyer

Easter’s message is a simple one. It is about love and redemption. I didn’t see much love of fellow men in Searchlight last week. I heard a lot of hate, though. Do the folks who have claimed the Tea Party as their express ride to better government really believe they are more patriotic than the thousands of people who show up every day to work for the government — local, state and national — on their behalf?

There are people everywhere who don’t carry their own weight. Those aside, does anyone really believe the people who have been attracted to public service — as opposed to the rest of us who just don’t have the desire, the time or the inclination to work for the benefit of others — are less American than the folks who braved the winds and Porta Potties in Searchlight?

I don’t see the protesters and naysayers taking oaths of office, government salaries and citizen ridicule to work on behalf of their fellow citizens. All I hear are anger-laden complaints.

Easter brings with it a message of love, redemption and hope. I am not asking people to believe me when I say that most elected officials and government workers are good and decent people who work hard and try to do what is right.

On this Easter, ask yourselves, “What would Jesus do? How would Jesus act? Who would Jesus blame?”

Brian Greenspun is President and Editor of the Las Vegas Sun. He's also delusional.

“... the thousands of people who show up every day to work for the government — local, state and national — on their behalf?”

No, we believe they show up to go through the motions of working at a job where they are overpaid and never accountable.

It has nothing to do with hate and everything to do with the direction the Democrats are taking the country.

We have a Constitution and prefer our elected officials follow it.

That's as far as I got before it was a choice between a trip to the bark bucket or a messy keyboard...

Not sure which planet he's on.

First off only a few specially selected people working for the government get to handle the complaints.

I had such a job for a good long while. My conclusion is that people tell lies, they try to cheat, and an awful lot more than you think they'd like a government subsidy.

Did it bother me?

OF COURSE NOT! Why do you imagine I'm posting on FR? Nothing bothers me.

Now, for the rest of that strange man's tale of woe, since so few government employees come into contact with the public on a direct basis, maybe there are some surveys out there that tell us what's going on ~ and, lo and behold, there are.

THEY (meaning the public) love their letter carriers. At the same time THEY (meaning the same public) hate their window clerks!

And you guys all thought you were transparent eh! Uncle Sam's got your number.

Google him. His head is so far up Harry Reid’s butt he can see what Harry is about to eat.

Delusional??? You’re really into that Easter forgiving spirit, aren’t you? ;-) In order to maintain that spirit, I will not pile on but will point out that the patriots are not so much mad at certain politicians (cough...cough...Reid) as they are mad at what is being done to their country and the Constitution. Perhaps Mr. Greenspun might refer to that oath and see that it promises fidelity to the Constitution — that is the source of the anger.

His father, Hank, smeared Joe McCarthy as a homosexual:

Joe McCarthy is a bachelor of 43 years... He seldom dates girls and if he does he laughingly describes it as window dressing. It is common talk among homosexuals in Milwaukee who rendezvous in the White Horse Inn that Senator Joe McCarthy has often engaged in homosexual activities.

The Young Republicans held a state convention in Wausua, Wis., at which Sen. McCarthy was an honored guest. During the convention, McCarthy spent the night with William McMahon, formerly an official of the Milwaukee County Young Republicans, in a Eausua hotel room, at which time, McCarthy and McMahon engaged in illicit acts with each other.

McCarthy was very popular in Las Vegas in 1952. There were parades for him. Hank Greenspun was mobbed up and attempting to protect the criminals in the Communist Party USA (behind the idealistic curtain the party was a criminal organization with a maze of lucrative businesses).

What a load of crap. “So those of you who believe in freedom and liberty think you’re more patriotic than a bunch of worthless Government bureaucrats...?” Hmm. Let me think about that one...

Um. Yes, I do.

Just another liberal ploy to shut up ANY opposing viewpoint.. try and make us feel guilty for even HAVING such “mean” opinions of people who want to destroy both our society and the country that we live in. Oooh!I don’t KNOW how I can stand the guilt!

[insert roll of eyes here]

Someone needs to tell Mr. Greenspun that those Tea Partiers ARE the ones who show up to work every day.

I don’t know what obligation we have to be “nice” at a communist takeover of America.

I get disgusted when lefties try to invoke the “spirit of religion” to quell dissent. Most of the their time is spent getting rid of religion.

“No, we believe they show up to go through the motions of working at a job where they are overpaid and never accountable.”

So true. I have never seen so many listless and semi-functional “workers” in my life. To say they “go through the motions” is to suggest they exercise a greater effort than they actually do. I have seen rocks with more animation.

Back from the barf bucket,

I’ll add what someone was saying the other day: there’s more people riding on the wagon now than there are people pulling it, and the wheels are coming off. It’s not a matter of hate, unless the one’s doing the riding are doing the hating...

This buffoon has obviously never attended a Tea Party. I have never met a more congenial group than those who attend Tea Parties. certainly they shout “Kill the Bill” What would he have them do?

Certainly people are angered over being screwed ove by the Congress they elected. We have been betrayed, that always will bring about anger, but Tea partiers leave at the end of the day, they go home, they leave the place they demonstrated clean ,and they hold their anger. Hopefully this anger will arise on November 2nd and show these politicians the road.

Tea Partiers: It is their love for America, what she stands for and fierce opposition to those hypocrites who would bring her down, just as Jesus fought fiercely against the hypocrisy of the Pharisees and wished them that the worst would come to them in their lives.
[ Woes-= “
1 : a condition of deep suffering from misfortune, affliction, or grief 2 : ruinous trouble : calamity, affliction” -www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/woe

viz-

Matt 7:15-23
15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing,
but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.

Matthew 23:1-7, 13-33 (NIV)

Seven Woes
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!...
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!..
“Woe to you, blind guides!...
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!...
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!...
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!...
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!...
“You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?...

Jesus was no wimpy wimpy kowtowing bowing-down pussycat liar as Obummer.
