Late last month, at a dusty fairground outside Tucson, John McCain stood behind the person who is, at least for the next few years, surely his most important legacy to American politics. And speaking to the adoring mob, Sarah Palin stood behind John McCain, repaying his inestimable gift to her in the most compelling possible fashion: by helping him to survive.
(snip)
Many, many years ago she'd competed in a beauty pageant, Palin declared, as women howled (and a few men growled) approvingly. McCain would surely win the talent and debate portions of any such contest, she went on, but no way would the Washington elite and "pundints" and "lame-stream media" ever crown him "Miss Congeniality"! "He's never been a company man, he's never been one to just 'go with the flow,'?" she crowed.
(snip)
...Palin had apparently missed the real message this electoral season in Arizona: for his three decades in Congress, McCain hadn't gone with the flow enough, at least not enough to satisfy many Arizona Republicans. Why else would his rival, former congressman J.D. Hayworth, be billing himself as "the consistent conservative"? Many of the GOP's most faithful, the kind who vote in primaries despite 115-degree heat, tired long ago of McCain the Maverick, the man who had crossed the aisle to work with Democrats on issues like immigration reform, global warming, and restricting campaign contributions. "Maverick" is a mantle McCain no longer claims; in fact, he now denies he ever was one. "I never considered myself a maverick," he told me. "I consider myself a person who serves the people of Arizona to the best of his abilities." Yet here was Palin, urging her fans four times in 15 minutes to send McCain the Maverick back to Washington.

For me, the main question is whether or not I can trust McCain to be a Conservative and to fight for Conservative positions. Based upon his history in the senate, I have no faith in him. Anyone that votes for McCain believing that he will promote Conservative views is delusional.
There is also an interesting McCain slideshow at the Newsweek site. Just a couple:
Stumping in New Orleans in June, McCain continued to distance himself from the Bush administration, claiming he ‘supported every investigation’ into the government’s role regarding the hurricane.

McCain — pictured in his first year at the Naval Academy — graduated in 1958. While there, he cultivated a reputation for rebellion, earning over 100 demerits and the nickname ‘McNasty.’

What I find interesting about the McCainiacs on FR is their constant false attack on J.D. Hayworth about Indian money.
McCain headed the Indian Senate affairs, and penned CFR. He helped Obama SO much. He excluded Indian tribes from giving amounts like everyone else, and then Obama cleaned up on the Indian $$$.
In fact, I cant think of one piece of McCain legislation that wasnt hand in hand with the democrats or that ever did one ounce of good for America. Can you?
[snip] Many of the tribes that have given the most to help Sen. Obama are rich with gambling revenue. Theyve used a loophole in campaign-finance law that allows one tribe to donate more than $200,000, unlike corporations or trade groups, which cant give any money.
The Seneca Nation of New York, which operates casinos upstate, gave $213,000 to Sen. Obamas committees, according to campaign-finance data compiled by CQ MoneyLine. Three other tribes have each given more than $100,000 to his campaign or to party coffers he is using to get out the vote: the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians and two California tribes, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and the Viejas Band.
The Indian vote, which has traditionally been overwhelmingly Democratic, could be pivotal in a number of swing states, notably New Mexico.[snip]

The ultimate question, is that it’s illogical for McCain to run for another Senate term. He is in his mid-seventies. He has twice lost two presidential races. At a time when the electorate wants someone to fight the Obama agenda, he was to work with it in a “bipartisanship” fashion. McCain needs to go.
Newsweak is full of lies and incorrect information.
That’s his senior photo in the Lucky Bag and he wasn’t called McNasty. John was a popular goof-off.
Newsweak is also lying when it claims that JD “Hayworth has made unforced errors of his own, like getting into bed with the birthers.”
Palin is right. McAmnesty doesn’t go with the Conservative flow. Instead he votes with the socialists most of the time and Palin supports him.
The Abramoff scandal is nonsense too. McCainiacs are trying to put it on JD, but he was cleared of all charges.
I will be a darn shame that he wins, which he will. Without Palen he would have been toast. This is gonana be strike 2 against Palin. First she concurs with his amnesty policy then helps him win and we all suffer for having this treacherous RINO back in the senate helping Gramnesty with cap and trade and amnesty.
Darn you Sarah why did you turn into another party faux conservative......
Another thread of bad McCain and anyone who comes with in 50 miles of him must be bad also.
These threads by the Snotzis are almost sad.
The PaulBot Snotzis have no life and must obey their cult leader, go to Conservative
forums and spread the anti war propaganda of L Ron Paul
and Divide Republicans.
Tough, won’t work.
Even dung beetles avoid McKennedy.
It’s a self made echo chamber.

They definitely put a spin on things.
But the ‘McNasty’ nickname is well known. This is a pro McCain source.
Though not a bully, McCain was a rebel in school and earned the nickname “McNasty” from classmates.
Known for his quick temper, Washingtonian magazine once dubbed McCain Senator Hothead. In 2004, the magazine also called McCain the worst follower in the Senate, as well as being the biggest show horse and having gutsiest personality.

Now this is kind of interesting. Same source. I wonder what his liberal friends think of this?
McCain is a member of the Alfalfa Club, an exclusive Washington, D.C. club for the rich and powerful, founded in 1913. Its sole purpose is to hold an annual banquet each January to honor the birthday of General Robert E. Lee. There are approximately 200 members.
McCain is a Democrat underming the GOP at every turnn. You have a marxist usurper and a criminal Congress because of McCain-Feingold which was a clear violations of the First Amendment.
This POS needs to go.
Flip the magic Flopper.
So why shouldn't we hold Juan to the same standards we hold the Dhims?
Notice how he NEVER attacks a Dhim!!!!! That should be a Scuzzyfava sized clue right there!
“The Abramoff scandal is nonsense too. McCainiacs are trying to put it on JD, but he was cleared of all charges.”
OH, yes.
McCain Received $100,000 From Firm Of Abramoff Notoriety
[snip]A review of campaign finance filings shows that the Arizona Republican has accepted more than $100,000 in donations from employees of Greenberg Traurig, the very firm where Abramoff once reigned.

After Abramoff pleaded guilty to federal crimes, several tribes asked lawmakers to return donations. But Choctaw Chief Philip Martin wrote to at least one lawmaker, Rep. J.D. Hayworth, R-Ariz., and told him he could keep tribal donations. “The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians has voluntarily contributed to political campaigns and causes along the ideological spectrum for more than a decade,” Martin said in his Dec. 21 letter. “Our decisions on political contributions were made by us. They were not coerced or controlled by our former lobbyist, Mr. Jack Abramoff, with whom we have severed all our ties.”

Do you suuport McCain?
Do you support McCain-Feingold and do you have any clue the damage it caused?
McCain has assisted in covering up Obama’s past. McCain is also a Soros stooge.
