I still think of Boehner as being a hack.
To: Kaslin
Boehner’s name rarely comes up.
Because he has not had an original thought in his life. Please, someone point out where John has wowed anyone with a vision. John is a nice guy, poor orator and no leader and he's my congressman.
Pence, Ryan, Cantor, to name a few.

Boehner has shown ZERO (0) leadership to date. I pray that he is replaced with a principled and capable leader in the near future.

Sorry, but Ryan’s been the real a**kicker in the whole health care debate.

I would have to disagree with you on oratory. Many times the knock on certain guys comes from the liberal press and it gets repeated enough that folks take it for gospel. Fact of the matter is that I watched him on the floor on many different occasions make his esteemed colleagues on the other side of the aisle look small. First was cap and trade opposition where he pressed parliamentary procedure to its stretching point and filibustered for as long as he could pointing out the idiocy of the Dems own bill (which they had not read). Next was the Gant chart (or whatever you want to call that thing) regarding the health bureaucracy that he slapped the Dems over the head with.
However, I do agree with you on Ryan, Cantor, and Pence. All three very solid with Ryan showing the potential to possibly be a solid presidential contender in the future. Don't throw Boehner of the side though. He has been giving the Dems fits the last two years. Tell your son Semper Fi!

Don’t forget, it was Sarah Palin who first came out with her “Death Panels” comment that changed the dynamics of the issue and put MAO-bama on defense...albeit temporarily until the pseudo prolife rats voted for it..

Oratory has nothing to do with your position or in John's case reaction. John Boehner can not complete a sentence without three uh’s.
Please, point me to John's vision, his ideas. We need a thinker and someone who can articulate the same and John is not the guy. McConnell is worse, he's the old school pol who gathers power for himself.
All the above is my opinion and as I like to say, Opinions are like hemorrhoids...every assh**e has one.

Everybody has different strengths. Boehner will make a great speaker. We have plenty of others who can handle the visionary stuff. He just needs to focus on keeping everyone united and he has shown he can do that.

Someone please point out to me examples of Pelosi’s grand vision or great oratory; or Hastert’s; or Tip Oneill’s for that matter. The Speaker of the House doesn’t lead the Nation, he leads his herd of cats. We need Congressional leaders who are effective, not inspirational.

If your on the golf course, having a cigar and a drink John's your man. It's a shame that it's a foregone conclusion that John is the next speaker of the House.
I would expect him to be better than the last three, but that's a low bar.

Please, point me to John's vision, his ideas. We need a thinker and someone who can articulate the same and John is not the guy. He also apologizes for stuff that didn't happen.
As I see it, the Republicans have nothing to apologize for. They aren't the ones trying to turn the US into a third-world Marxist hellhole. The Democrats are. They need to be beaten with this at every turn.
Boehner is not the one to do it.
