Obama to Crush Economy with Massive CO2 Taxes as Early as Next Week
canada free press ^ | 4/1/10 | Fred Dardick

Abandoning all loyalty to the democratic processes this nation holds dear, President Obama has made the decision that getting energy tax legislation through Congress with the approval of the American people is just too much of a pain to bother with. Instead he will have the EPA declare as early as next week that CO2 is a dangerous global warming gas and will start regulating its emissions immediately.

Obama’s promise to open up vast stretches of ocean on the East Coast and Gulf of Mexico to energy exploration is simply a ruse to soften up the public for soon to be announced draconian regulations.

I wish I could share your optimism.

We have a dictator in the WH.

Whatever he wants to do. Other than carping and griping, we will do nothing.

He called our bluff on obama care. He won.

He continues to implement his agenda. We gripe. We cpmplain. We say ,wait until next time. We say, wait until November. There won’t be any elections in November.

In 1994 Bill Clinton prepared legislation that would have eased lending standards at Fannie and Freddie, created a whole new sub-class of homeowners, and knowingly or unknowingly fueled the emerging derivatives market in all its forms. When Republicans won both houses of Congress in November Clinton and HUD Secretary Andrew Cuomo instead rewrote the legislation via executive fiat. This created a momentum, aided at times by Republicans, that deregulated the financial services industry by 1999.

I don’t think this can happen without an act of Congress.

The Supreme Court has already ruled that the EPA has the right to regulate CO2 under the Clean Air Act.

Not that I doubt for a moment he can and will do this, I have yet to see this rumor confirmed. Stewart Varney mentioned it on Fox yesterday, but I cannot find any backup confirmation. Anyone have further info?

I have posted other pieces in the last few weeks that confirm that he can simply direct the EPA to make a "policy decision" and that it can bypass the legislative process.

NOW- whether that will stand is another issue, but they have shown their hand here. The intent is to do it and unless there is a lot of opposition, they will do it.

“There won’t be any elections in November.”

I have been saying this for a year now. People think I’m crazy. People simply cannot understand that this is a complete and utter take over of America. People don’t get it.

There you go again, thinking Constitutionally.

That silly old document is so 18th century.

Get with the program man. This is the 21st century, and we have the Hope n Change Messiah to move us forward, and he don't need no stink'n Constitution.

I think we should replace all CO2 in the White House, in AF One, and all Presidential vehicles with inert nitrogen. And then proceed to the Capitol building.
