Strategists: GOP is peaking too early
Washington Times ^ | March 31, 2010 | Stephen Dinan

Former President Bill Clinton's top political strategists, who had a front-row seat for the Republicans' 1994 electoral successes, said Wednesday that the GOP today is peaking too early and is unlikely to see a repeat performance this November.

Pollster Stan Greenberg said a "change election," as political scientists call major shifts in electoral preferences, already happened when Republican Scott Brown's surprise victory for Sen. Edward M. Kennedy's Senate seat, and between then and November, Democrats will have gained back ground.

"When we look back on this, we're going to say Massachusetts is when 1994 happened," Mr. Greenberg said.

Wishful thinking.

However, Hannity lashed out at our conservative circular firing squad and he is wrong. We are not conservatives firing at conservatives, we are conservatives firing at RINO and CINO, basically incumbents who think we are just a bunch of emotionally driven yahoos who don’t understand how real politics is played out in Washington.

They are who we have in the crosshairs. And it’s good to fire at them the same as dems because:

a. It will lead the Left to think we are factions fighting each other, and therefore we can lure them into underestimating the bloodbath we are going to put them through this Fall.

b. It will put on notice the RINO/CINO reach across the aisles (McCain) type of scum in Washington that we are their worst nightmare.

They better stay out of our fire if they know what’s good for them.

I see GOP ‘leaders’ starting to bend to Obamacare, I see them clearly that they view Washington first as a land of money pots that they have priviledge to visit, they worship the money and therefore the TAXES first, they see their power center there going broke and they are loyal to that power first, the power is TAXES, they bow before taxes first and our freedoms second.

FREEDOM FIRST! TAXES SECOND!

Are you listening Hannity???

If there is no freedom, there will be no taxes!

things can change, but I hardly see a situation where the anger will lessen between now and then. The same buildup of frustration and anger that started in 2006 is still growing and now it has become clear that we have an out of control Federal government.

So that is one side of the political landscape.

What is supposed to be the motivator for the Left? The ones who opposed the bill because “it didn’t go far enough”?

Will they still go to the polls to vote in large numbers for the Democrats? Or will they stay at home like the McCain hating Republican base did in 2008?

If we assemble the financial resources, we’ll enjoy a blow-out of tectonic proportions.

We haven’t even begun to talk about taxes — and the Bush tax cuts that the RATS are committed to expire at the end of the year. This represents a tax increase for millions of Americans, and 99% of GOP and independent voters don’t even know about it yet. Higher taxes will destroy more jobs.

The bottom line is to make the election a referendum on jobs. Everything BO and the RATS have done has destroyed jobs — tax policy, spending, health care, cap and tax, stimulus and more and more. None of the tired RAT rhetoric about tax cuts for the rich will sell — there are no jobs without investment capital. The jobs message will cut into every demographic of the Democratic base, while the GOP and independent vote is already sewn up.

The MSM is so slanted against the GOP 24/7/365 that it is only the last three weeks of any campaign that the GOP pulls away — when the paid media advertising reminds people of why they want to vote Republican.

That and amnesty to grant healthcare benefits to millions of third world invaders most likely to vote Democrat in November.

The difference is that for the Clintons their Health Care scheme was their “all” and their “everything”. Obama has admitted that this is “just the beginning” Like with a greedy child one piece of candy is never enough. He will be trying to ram through all kinds of collectivist stuff as fast as he can before the elections. We average Americans will be turning purple with our eyes bugging out by the time next November rolls around.

Let's just think about the logistics of this endeavor.....hmmm....approximately 2300 to 2500 pages of ball busting, incentive crippling, job killing, freedom stealing tyrannic dictates the world has ever put down on paper....

I'm just a common man, but it seems to me like there's a buttload of 'revelations to spare' between now and November. Morelike there aren't enough days between now and then to properly chronicle this treason versus 'peaking too early'......

This is just a weak-ass attempt to convince us that we've shot our wad and that's all there is....don't you dare believe it! Hammer their ass until it looks like that baboon you last saw in the zoo.....

I mean, I suppose it’s possible we’re peaking too soon. I’d just rather have better evidence than the word of these two.

If the sheeple perceive that things are better (personal income, 401Ks, employment, overall economy) then the 'Rats will do better than we expect. If not, then they'll get clobbered, because Bams isn't going to do them any good absent an economic recovery.

The other thing is that the 'Pubs have to offer positive and sensible alternatives to the 'Rats, appealing candidates who can capture the majority of the independent vote, and basically nationalize each and every election, from Senate races down to the local dogcatcher. Make it clear that a vote for a 'Rat is a vote for Peelousy and Reid and Il Douche.

I think this Dem is wrong....there are Dem pollsters that are predicting a big GOP gain in 2010.....

That is...unless....the GOP supports ILLEGAL ALIEN AMNESTY, refuses to repeal ObamaCare, and refuses to kick out RINOs

If the GOP does all three of these....they will retake the House and Senate

If the republicans are actually peaking too soon you can bet that Obama still will push something that will totally PO most of the nation. It will be amnesty, cap and tax, something. They fear loosing the large majority and even if they hold on by a tread they know the days of big ticket stuff will be over. No they have no choice but to keep pushing to keep their dream alive.
