McCain and Palin: Reunited and Feeling Good ("I support his position on immigration")
Fox News ^ | 2010-03-27

(snip)

VAN SUSTEREN: Governor Palin, if you were vice president today, what would you be telling a President McCain about what to do about immigration, if anything?

PALIN: I support his position on immigration. It all comes down to securing the border. And he who has actually proposed some solutions, the Obama administration does not want to listen to Senator McCain or any other Republican, and that, of course, leads to a greater problem that we have in Washington, D.C. And it's that lack of the new administration's ability and enthusiasm for listening to those on the other side of the aisle who have some good solutions that they want considered.

Last week I (registered Republican)received a call asking if the election were today who would you vote for? JD Hayworth or John McCain?
I answered JD Hayworth. The caller said, “thank you, this was paid for by the John McCain reelection campaign.

Today my husband (registered Independent) got the same call. He told them JD Hayworth. They said thank you and hung up.

I think they are getting the message that he is in trouble in this primary.
So now, we're hearing more commercials by McCain than ever. His wife's money couldn't buy him the presidency but it may work here if Hayworth doesn't get enough support to put this own agenda out there in front of the voters.

I don’t trust Huckabee. But when you are left with two exceptional liars, and one middling one, I guess you go with the middling one, if you feel the need to endorse.

Funny thing though. After McCain had wrapped up the nomination I recall McCain and Romney both pushing TARP down America’s throat while Huckabee took the Hunter position of “hell f’n no”

Fair enough Pissant.

On this we can agree.

” And there are humane ways to deal with the 11-13 million illegal aliens who are in our country right now, but if they’re not going to follow the rules, they need to get out.””

Follow the rules?

h u h??

THIS IS A “PATH TO CITIZENSHIP” AKA “AMNESTY”

Sarah is for this. There is no other way to interpret this.

“But I’m sure she’ll address this fracas soon. She always does.”

We’ve been begging for her to ‘address’ it for over a year now!

Why don’t some of you invite her here to FR. I’d love to see this haggling over ‘what she really means’ stop! Other candidates have been gracious enough to face us. She won’t respond to emails or any other request on this issue.

And Palin has the opportunity to clarify things on immigration. If she sees the light and unequivocally says so, I’ll be happy to see her running. Someone here needs to invite her on to FR to do just that.

Totally agree.

And I also am a supporter of hers. But this McCain endorsement just seems to get more toxic by the day. I fear that political games are getting the best of her.

I know there are no perfect candidates, however, there are ideal ones - and for me, an ideal one is for smaller government, pro-defense, pro-life and ANTI-amnesty.

Those are things that are a must for myself and many, many conservatives. She’s muddying her own waters by swimming with this turd.

I just want it to be over. Her debt paid and for her to get away from this race ASAP. She was electric after the 2008 race, coming out and giving her own opinions and stances, away from McCain. Now she’s playing lap dog to him again and dumbing herself down.

As for owing MCCain a favor.....if it was not for Palin, McCain would have been a 50 state loser. McCain OWES PALIN a favor....and its not to support the liberal over the conservative in the AZ senate primary

Exactly. Palin does neither herself nor the party any favors defending John McCain. Johnny B Liberal was too toxic in 2008 for most. He's a western Lindsey Graham is Palin going to tell us what a fine Conservative he is as well?

What I see happening with Palin is the same disaster in the making done in 2000. Bush campaigned just a shade to the right of LBJ. People in here were posting their fantasy wishes for what Bush really meant was... and how all of it was a part of some grand secret political move. Well he sure proved them wrong. On domestic issues he was LBJ-2 and set us on a course for Obama. Pakin is likeable but only talks the Conservative talk when it is to her political advantage to do so then it's back into the McCain camp she goes.

Rules: Laws on the book.

Our laws *are* humane.

Boy, do I agree with you on that.

I would like to give her some information she surely seems to be lacking, at least I hope that is the case right now.

The fact is, it DOES NOT MATTER if a poster supports, or leans to one candidate or another, if they make a post that is accurate, if the quotes they include are true, if the sources are verifiable, it should make no difference who they personally support.

It does when you make one out to be an 'enemy' or RINO, especially when the other one you support is equally, if not more, of an 'enemy' or RINO.

Here. Let me give you an example:

The standard Palin-hater line: 'She's supporting a RINO socialist so she is also one!'

Now when Rabs (or any of the usual Paulbots who hate Palin) post articles touting Ron Paul, then, based on your own haphazard reasoning, this must also be true:

'Ron Paul supported and endorsed Ralph Nader and Cynthia McKinney, two of the biggest liberal socialists in the USA today. So because he endorsed/supported them, he must also be a liberal socialist'

The hypocrisy is easy to see. But it doesn't surprise me you don't see it.

It would be one thing if you and your buddies actually listed Palin positions you oppose. At least that way, you'd have some credibility.

But the fact that you and your buddies keep beating the same 'guilty by association' crap, and post the same ludicrous reasoning why you loathe Palin, and then turn around and fail to see why you look so utterly ridiculous is precisely why you and your ilk are being called hypocrites.

Your same 'reasoning' is being used against you, and you're too ignorant to even see it.

We need to listen to the border states where the governors there have some solutions and we need to get serious about that.”.......Sarah Palin

All the Border Governors support Illegal Alien Amnesty....and do not support Border Security.....they fight it all the time...even as they claim they “get tough” on it. This is the big reason why we have such a mess at the Border right now

This comment is more proof that Sarah Palin is Open Borders and for Illegal Alien Amnesty. If you cannot come right out and say No Amnesty...Period....you support Amnesty

They are criminal trespassers, and the law says DEPORT.
