Kudos to Daily Beast editor-in-chief Tina Brown for penning an anti-Sarah Palin tirade so vitriolic, I thought there had been a mix-up with her byline and Andrew Sullivan’s. Well, technically she’s blasting John McCain for allowing Palin to campaign for him, because…uh…it’s Sarah Palin, Personification of Evil! Get with the program!
From the hit piece: "Cindy McCain was glacially self-contained in a trim, chic suit, at her husband’s side. When will high-def pick up the grinding of teeth? She introduced Palin as “a breath of fresh air” when in fact, as far as the McCains are concerned, Palin was a tornado wreaking havoc on the senator’s campaign for president with a personal reality show that enthralled the public but appalled the voters. She has since used the celebrity he bestowed on her to become the La Pasionaria of the No Spin Zone crowd, who now want only to unseat him and install his cocky challenger J.D Hayworth.
"No doubt for Cindy McCain the thought of having her husband back in town and hanging around the house if he loses his Senate seat is worth the indignity of once again appearing next to him to pretend that the current pin-up of violent populism stands for the same things as a principled war hero."

I fear that this is true. Yet, I hope she remains part of the process. If nothing else, she can distract the left with a false target while stoking the fire of the right.
I believe Sarah should hold a news conference every week when/if she runs for President. I would not go on Today/NBC etc, but hold a press conference, answering any and all questions. Totally avoid the MSM, while still taking all/some of their questions in a News Conference setting. Would be on her terms, and if a question was to dumb she would just say next. I think Sarah would do very well in this setting, the other way is just a set up.
I love her and believe she could manage fine going on all the MSM shows, but why bother, they are only wanting to destroy her anyway. I think if she takes my advice, she will beat the MSM at their own game.
There will be new unfounded “scandals” invented, the left will try and find her guilty the moment these “reports” hit the airwaves.
In the mean time, we can bring out a new and fresh candidate like Cantor or Rubio who the Left has no bulls eye painted on. In Rubio’s case, RINO Christ proved that he is a traitor for the Left when he brought out Rubio’s mishandling of funds, of which Rubio was deeply honest about. That honesty went directly towards Rubio’s advantage and left Christ with an empty chamber and no kill.
This is where I believe we need to go. Surprise the Left with a candidate they cannot easily attack.

Keeping personal attacks out of it, I would have to say that this is beginning to resemble the vitriolic, nasty responses we got in 2008. If you weren’t a Hunter or Thompson supporter, you were somehow a DU operative, regardless if you had been her 10 years or not.
Since when is your opinion so righteous and wise over other members, that qualifies you to police their responses?

As far as getting it, I “have it” more than you realize. I listed two of them earlier who are every bit as electable as your icon. The difference is, they do not have the controversial set backs.
You and your kind tend to have a one track mind and fire off insulting knee jerk responses when there are ideas brought forth that you refuse to consider.

If you don’t like Sarah what the feck are you doing on this thread besides spouting your usual blather? Man, you talk about a one track mind and firing off kneejerk reactions. Right, that’s your lot. Over and over and over. No one’s listening to your droning negativism toward Sarah Palin. And if they were they’ve probably stopped by now.
The good thing about Palin is that, like Reagan, she has the time to set the record straight and she’s doing an excellent job. I feel like I’m watching Reagan all over again, a privilege I thought I’d never have again. Pounced on by both sides, especially elites who concern themselves with who they think is “electable”. Meanwhile she takes her case to the people with conviction, intelligence, and humor. People are getting damn sick of the political class.

Not at all. We don't give up. But it's common knowledge that Sarah Palin has been singled out by the Left for demonization, unfortunately with some success. This must be overcome before she can be a viable candidate. It won't be easy.
What, you think they won't demonize anyone else just as much once they become a threat? Better to ignore what they're doing (and don't let them choose our candidate for us) and stick with someone whom they've already wasted all their ammo on.
You make good points in your post #22 with which I fully agree. She may be able to overcome the Demonization of her by the left and your strategy may work. I support Palin for president. But she must be able to win, and perhaps she can.
