America's New Nomenklatura

Government: With the passage of health care reform and the ongoing boom in federal hiring, it's becoming increasingly clear that America is now run by a new, privileged class of bureaucrats.

For those who remember the old Soviet Union, it was a grim place — at least for average citizens. But not so for those in government. Contrary to the official ideals of equality and a classless society that the ruling communist regime espoused, the USSR created a privileged class of party members inside government — the nomenklatura.

This semipermanent bureaucracy earned higher incomes, got better health care, ate better food and had greater job security than average Russians, the much-despised proletarians. Today, our bloated federal government seems, in significant ways, to be creating this same dynamic.

Take the just-passed health care bill that carefully excluded the White House, congressional leaders and their staffs from having to live under the reforms' restrictions.

"President Obama will not have to live under the Obama health care reforms, and neither will the congressional staff who helped to write the overhaul," said Iowa Republican Sen. Charles Grassley. "The message to the people at the grass roots is that it's good enough for you, but not for us."

The hypocrisy of these officials and the contempt they show for average Americans is bad enough. But Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Public can also go to jail or be fined up to $250,000 for not buying insurance. And the government is spending $10 billion to hire 16,500 new IRS agents to make sure they don't escape the new system.

There are two Republicans, Sen Charles Grassley, of Iowa and Congressman; Doctor,John Fleming, (R 4th LA) who have been raising the issue by legislative means in their respective chambers but are getting discouraged because of the refusal of the current crop congresspersons including our US epresntative........................................... who would never support this “correction”

Not every House member is exempted. The exemption found on page 158 of the senate bill (now law) exempts staff members who worked on the bill which includes Pelosi, Waxman, Obey, Schakowsky, and others. This is part of a petition being sent to opponents which will hopefully be circulated in their affected districts and will be posted after being converted into html in

All Animals are Equal, but some Animals are more Equal than others

I guess it's time to revise that phrase from Animal Farm so that it reads accurately for contemporary times:

All Americans are Equal, but some Americans are more Equal than others

The peasant slave mentality is steeped with the peace sign when inferior and with the brutal free stomping of the unborn and disarmed masses. They are not for equal fight, they are never for equality, they are never for true peace, but for the sort of false peace that never forces these cowards to get into a real fight, whether when superior or inferior.

This is the irony of our new industry of “victimhood”.

There is an easy fix to that: black market, money laundering etc... it what they do anyways... the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Get them at the laundering scheme level, and we shall see if they can take the fight.

Now if the IRS comes knocking at my door for any stupid old reason, I am not answering... EVER... and since they eventually opt for torture and force brainwash, then I will have to fight that back with weaponry. I'm not listening to the media or any government ad or advice on finance and what not. THey can eat crow.

These Republicans basicaly decry this black market and money laundering scheme loophole by congress critters who now have the IRS to extort whoever deals with them.

You know, I’m around a lot of Russians who work at NASA here in Houston...And they are absolutely astounded as to why did this country screw up such a good thing and allow a known factor (well before the election), a socialist, to be elected to the highest office in this land...

I used to just point at certain people I knew to be of the type that believe the government should take care of every little thing in their lives and that the rest of us working should support those that don’t want to and believe they should subside on entitlements the government hands out...

They had it figured out before you could point it out to them...

Apparently it is hard for some in this country to understand certain things...

You can imagine, but you do not want to know what some of those same Russians said is the solution for this blight...

And they are not your run of the mill Russians...They are some pretty sharp folks...Just don’t get into a drinking contest with them...

If we don’t put a dent in this thing in November, we may be a heap big trouble kemosabe...

Not every House member is exempted.

Do you know offhand whether the Supreme Court is exempt? Just asking . . .

This is a consistent theme...see "Public Schools."
