Did Barack Obama inspire one of his donors to threaten a top GOP lawmaker?
Norman Leboon, Sr, the man reported to have been arrested for making a death threat video against House Minority Whip Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) and Cantor's family is listed by the Federal Elections Commission as having made two donations to the presidential campaign of Barack Obama in 2008.
According to the FEC, the donations were made on successive days in June 2008, on the 20th for $255 and on the 21st for $250. There are no other federal election campaign contributions listed for Leboon.
Just a week before Leboon made his contributions, Obama spoke in Leboon's hometown of Philadelphia on June 13, where he urged his supporters to "bring a gun" to the political battles against their opponents:
" If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun. Because from what I understand, folks in Philly like a good brawl. I’ve seen Eagles fans."
In September 2008, Obama told his supporters to argue with his opponents and get in their faces.

The FBI says Norman Leboon, 38, told investigators he was the “son of the god of Enoch” and that he had posted a video on the Internet threatening the lives of Rep. Eric Cantor of Virginia and his family.
The video was reported to the FBI in San Francisco on Friday and Leboon allegedly told agents he posted it on Wednesday.
An investigation led agents to an address in Northeast Philadelphia, where they learned Leboon, who was a fugitive from state charges of making terroristic threats, also lived.
They compared a mug shot of Leboon with a man on the video and determined he was the same person.
Leboon was arrested Saturday.
If convicted of the charges against him, Leboon faces a maximum possible sentence of 15 years imprisonment, 3 years supervised release and a fine up to $500,000.
Ok, I think I get it now. I’d suspect he’s legally deaf. A deaf friend of mine has similar language pattern problems similar to Leboon.
Let’s wait and make sure that
1.) this information is completely accurate and that “Norman Leboon Sr” actually is “Norman Leboon.” (That guy doesn’t seem to have ever had a marriage and family, much less a Junior Norman.);
2.) that the MSM doesn’t cover this.
Let’s be sure that we get our ducks in a row before firing. 24 hours from now, fire away!

Today, a two-count complaint and warrant was filed charging Norman Leboon with threatening to kill United States Congressman Eric Cantor and his family, and threatening to kill Congressman Eric Cantor, who is an official of the United States, announced United States Attorney Michael L. Levy and FBI Special Agent in Charge Jan Fedarcyk. As set forth in the affidavit to the complaint and warrant, in or about late March, 2010, Leboon created and then transmitted a YouTube video to Google over the internet, in which he threatened to kill Congressman Cantor and his family. No harm came to the Congressman or his family as a result of Leboon’s threats.
“The Department of Justice takes threats against government officials seriously, especially threats to kill or injure others,” said Levy. “Whether the reason for the threat is personal or political, threats are not protected by the First Amendment and are crimes.”
LeBoon is a 33-year-old Philadelphia resident, according to the USA press release.

If convicted of all the charges, the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 15 years imprisonment, 3 years supervised release, a fine up to $500,000, and a $200 special assessment. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Philadelphia Police Department, and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Robert K. Reed.
A search for “Norman LeBoon” on YouTube yields some bizarro stuff — including this channel where a Norman LeBoon claims to be a Shia Muslim who is the 12th imam and this video where other Muslims angry at LeBoon refute his Mahdi claim.

It appears that this Norman LeBoon and the LeBoon referenced in the charging papers are one and the same. The affidavit notes that LeBoon has admitted to making more than 2,000 videos with threats.
Using a law enforcement database, an address check was conducted on 1653 Brenner Street, Philadelphia, PA, which revealed that there was a local active bench warrant for a NORMAN LEBOON (DOB 01/22/1972.) The warrant had been issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Court of Common Pleas charging LEBOON with Terroristic Threats with intent to terrorize another, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person. A recent arrest photograph of LEBOON (taken on 07/14/2009) was obtained. The arrest photo of LEBOON was compared to the male in the YouTube video described in paragraph 5, above, who made the threat against Congressman Cantor. After comparing the faces, I immediately recognized and concluded that LEBOON was the male speaking and making the threats in the YouTube video.
