Doc Balkins: "Subject: WalMart vs The Morons"

#1 Americans spend $36,000,000 at Wal-Mart Every hour of every day.

2. This works out to $20,928 profit every minute!

3. Wal-Mart will sell more from January 1 to St. Patrick's Day (March 17th) than Target sells all year.

4. Wal-Mart is bigger than Home Depot + Kroger + Target + Sears + Costco + K-Mart combined.

5. Wal-Mart employs 1.6 million people and is the largest private Employer, and most speak English.

6. Wal-Mart is the largest company in the history of the World.

7. Wal-Mart now sells more food than Kroger & Safeway combined, and keep in mind they did this in only 15 years.

8. During this same period, 31 supermarket chains sought bankruptcy.

9. Wal-Mart now sells more food than any other store in the world.

10. Wal-Mart has approx 3,900 stores in the USA of which 1,906 are Super CentersSuper Centers; this is 1,000 more than it had 5 Years ago.

11. This year 7.2 billion different purchasing experiences will occur At a Wal-Mart store. (Earth's population is approximately 6.5 Billion.)

12. 90% of all Americans live within 15 miles of a Wal-Mart.

You may think that I am complaining, but I am really laying the ground work for suggesting that MAYBE we should hire the guys who run Wal-Mart to Fix the economy.

This should be read and understood by all Americans Democrats, Republicans, EVERYONE!!

To President Obama and all 535 voting members of the Legislature, It is now official you are ALL corrupt morons:

The U.S. Post Service was established in 1775. You have had 234 years to get it right and it is broke.

Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 74 years to get it right and it is broke.

Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 71 years to get it right and it is broke.

War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor" and they only want more.

Medicare and MedicaidMedicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have had 44 years to get it right and they are broke.

Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 39 years to get it right and it is broke.

The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before.

You had 32 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure. You have FAILED in every "government service" you have shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM??

(Note: This was sent as an e-mail and I thought it was a great one to pass around)

Or a reasonable facsimile thereof...

Wal-Mart ,after Sam Walton ,led the way to huge importation of manufactured goods from China thus weakening America and strengthening the Communists.

I am not quite ready to join in cheering Wal-Mart.

I agree for the most part, except for the post office because nobody else is doing what they do for .44 cents a letter, but walmart is no hero.

WalMart is not doing as great as it used to. I rarely ever go there anymore. I used to do almost all my grocery shopping there, but their prices do not attract me anymore. And their selection has gone way down. I like Kroger stores the most nowadays..

It'll never work. Wal-Mart has a policy of first cutting the costs of the organization, operating as lean as possible. This is antithetical to government thinking.

I shop at WM regularly.

Recently their checkout lines have gotten much longer and boxes of stuff to be stocked are piled in the aisles to a greater extent.

I would assume they have cut back on staffing.

I hope they know they’re very near losing my custom as a result, and presumably that of many other people.

Wal-Mart is just like the government. They move into an town and totally take over, destroying everything that was once there. Been there once years ago. Will never go back.

If Walmart ran the government, if enough social workers were actually scheduled to come into work that day, and they actually came into work, and then they actually worked while they were on the clock, then they would be split up by management. One half would go and start building roads without knowing how, and the other half would go and lead troops into battle knowing even less.

Then after a few hours, another manager would come over screaming and yelling, stop everything, and send everybody home for using too many hours.

Permit me to pile on. In today’s mail were two (2) envelopes, one mailed to me and one to Mrs. Dog (we filed married filing jointly btw) telling us that as our bank would not honor our direct deposit (I have fat fingers and screwed up the account #) the IRS will (note future tense) be sending our refund check by mail. In the same delivery was our check.

And this twit wants to add 17,000 IRS agents to the roster?! sd

I love Walmart...where else can I buy milk, cheese, produce, and a Johnny Cash CD at 8 am in this town?

Anyone who’s ever had to do a lot of shopping with four kids has to know why I love Walmart :)

Hey, I shop at Walmart too. But don't you want to spend five times as much to keep the Mom and Pop store that sells the same stuff from China open ? Or maybe you'd like instead to pay eight times as much to keep union workers in their jobs? Nah... me neither.

WM completely reworked my supercenter, reducing their food inventory considerably. Their store layout has no rhyme or reason to it. This is where they almost totally lost me. They decided to sell only their top moving products, and their own store brands. However, I like to choose and buy from a variety of products, and WM does not have this anymore. Their store help has always been dismal, imho.

They had to make sure that the guns and toys were not in eyesight of each other.

I think stay at home moms, with several children should run the economy. Someone who can feed, cloth, and care for a large family (3+ kids) on one income, and have funds left over at the end of the month, knows what she is doing.

Many of America’s major cities do not have Wal Mart Superstores, the left has kept them out, we have to shop at Kroger and Albertsons and other Wal Mart competitor’s stores.

Correct. The grocery unions have kept them out of New York and New Jersey. There are no Wal Marts of any kind in the city of New York, although there is one right over the border in Valley Stream where a poor Haitian guard was trampled to death.
