Area 51 vets break silence: Sorry, but no space aliens or UFOs
The Seattle Times ^ | 3/27/2010 | Erik Lacitis

Posted on 03/28/2010 8:18:46 PM PDT by ErnstStavroBlofeld

After nearly five decades, guys like James Noce finally get to tell their stories about Area 51.

Yes, that Area 51.

The one that gets brought up when people talk about secret Air Force projects, crashed UFOs, alien bodies and, of course, conspiracies.

The secrets, some of them, have been declassified.

Noce, 72, and his fellow Area 51 veterans around the country now are free to talk about doing contract work for the CIA in the 1960s and '70s at the arid, isolated Southern Nevada government testing site.

Their stories shed some light on a site shrouded in mystery; classified projects still are going on there. It's not a big leap from warding off the curious 40 or 50 years ago, to warding off the curious who now make the drive to Area 51.

The veterans' stories provide a glimpse of real-life government covert operations, with their everyday routines and moments of excitement.

Noce didn't seek out publicity. But when contacted, he was glad to tell what it was like.

"I was sworn to secrecy for 47 years. I couldn't talk about it," he says.

In the 1960s, Area 51 was the test site for the A-12 and its successor, the SR-71 Blackbird, a secret spy plane that broke records at documented speeds that still have been unmatched. The CIA says it reached Mach 3.29 (about 2,200 mph) at 90,000 feet.

But after September 2007, when the CIA displayed an A-12 in front of its Langley, Va., headquarters as part of the agency's 60th birthday, much of the secrecy of those days at Area 51 fell away.

Advance warning to UFOlogists: Sorry, although Noce and other Area 51 vets say they saw plenty of secret stuff, none make claims about aliens.

Although no one has been able to produce Obama’s birth certificate and it is said in some circles that he was ‘birthed’ in a lab in Area 51.

well we paid a lotta money to a very nice elderly lady with her table there on the street corner, reading palms and knots on folks head. Plus she had a chicken she said she saved from a pitbull attack.

If the Alien abduction stories people tell are true, Aliens are definitely not our friends and they are evil. I don’t believe in the little buggers anyway but its good to see corroborative evidence in the testimony of those that were at area 51.

However, if Aliens abducted the entire obama admin and ate them, then I would have to withdraw my assertion that they are evil.

Well then....just dang it all YOU did your legwork and obviously went that extra mile in substantiating what could be a very serious and clearly life changing story.

The main stream media could learn a thing or two from you, you ROCK!

The Kook to Kook AM crowd will be deeply saddened.

Nah, they'll just claim this is part of the coverup conspiracy.

"I was sworn to secrecy for 47 years. I couldn't talk about it," he says.

If there was nothing going on there, then why were they sworn to secrecy ???

To be honest it was not that hard to get there...

I was offer a job at Area 51 in the late 99 (but turned it down at the last minute, long story but regretted turning it down ever since)...

But the crazy thing I found the job on monster.com !

Of course they didn't say Area 51 in the monster.com posting...

The job posting was for EG&G Special Projects... they only told you were it was at in the first interview (their were three interviews in all before the job offer)....

All in all a very interested experience

Good try, you almost had me, but then it occurred to me that if aliens had put worms into these men’s heads to eat out their brains, and then the aliens had installed their own brains into the human shells that they would be saying this same exact type stuff.

I guess I’m just too smart to fall for the old “alien brain, switcheroo trick” as my palm reader/psychic advisor calls it.

I think the "secret" of the A-12 was let out about 30 years before September 2007.

I would love to believe in flying saucers but can’t because there just isn’t anything legitimate to support it.

I watch a lot of the shows on TV about area 51 etc. These people don’t strike me as kooks so much as liars seeking attention. Maybe that is a type of kook but I don’t think they are nuts, just dishonest.

"Advance warning to UFOlogists: Sorry, although Noce and other Area 51 vets say they saw plenty of secret stuff, none make claims about aliens."

I'm sorry I call BS here! Of course there is alien stuff at Area 51.

I mean have you noticed how the letters in Area 51 can't be rearranged to spell "Alien Mind Control Waves"? That should be the first tip off right there!

And when you do a google search on "Noce Alien" you get:

Noce Alien Interceptor

Which BTW is clearly an advanced weapon to deal with alien infiltrators and cleverly disguised to look like a normal paintball gun!

No they have not fooled me... I am on to their game!

The A-12 was featured in a picture in a 1967 National Geographic magazine.
