KABUL, March 28 (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama arrived in Kabul on Sunday for an unannounced visit to Afghanistan, his first trip to the country since becoming president and commander-in-chief of the U.S.-led war effort.
Obama's brief trip was expected to include a one-on-one meeting with Afghan President Hamid Karzai, an expanded meeting with Karzai's cabinet and U.S. officials, and a speech to American military personnel.
A White House official, speaking before the trip, said Obama wanted to get an "on the ground update" about the war from General Stanley McChrystal, the U.S. and NATO commander, as well as Karl Eikenberry, the U.S. ambassador.

This is a side trip. He is on the way to meet with Russian President Dimitri Mevidvev in regards to the nuclear treaty. A-Stan was just there for him to visit.
I think he is going to make a surprise visit to visit his cousin Raila Odinga in Kenya on the way home. Does anybody hav the Raila Odinga photo’s?
Whaaaa? There was no war in Iraq or Afghanistan before Bush. Everything you said is a complete falsehood.
He must of gotten a preview of his poll number back down to -16 and decided on a last minute photo op.

There was also an announcement that Bin Laden had threatened to kill any American that they capture, if we execute the 9/11 mastermind. I don’t know how much of a threat that it because they pretty much kill any American that they capture, now.

The A-stan trip was last minute. But, we believe that Obama will also sidestep and go to Moscow to discuss the nuclear treaty.
They are one in the same!
They use solely Secret Service for inner security. Service members probably were stripped of weapons, even elite units.
They do not trust the troops.
