Live now on Fox
Rubio is framing the contrast very well. Excellent debate and criticism of Florida Governor Christie's support of the stimulus plan.
Rubio: "We need someone who can stand up to Obama"
Rubio on partisanship: "Lower the corporate tax, lower thwe capital gains tax, reduce the obstacles that make it increasingly hard to do business in America, and I'll be happy to cooperate....but what the Obama administration is attempting to do is fundamentally change America, and we can not cooperate on that."

People should start their own tea parties but with other names that can’t be hijacked the way tea party has been. (code name operation TP.)

I wouldn’t mind seeing Sarah as the “Press Secretary”.
Our country needs Allen West and Marco Rubio!

WTH is going on with some Florida Tea Party groups who aren't warming up to Marco Rubio??? Specifically, WHAT is going on with those people in The Villages??
Basically, that was the only weak link in Rubio's Debate today. He did not seem to want to embrace the Tea Party folks too warmly. I'm not sure why. He seemed to want to get away from that question as fast as he could.

Crist should have responded that “Yes, I have run for five different offices in 12 Years. But that’s okay, as I will be running for President in 2012 and it will be six offices in 14 years.”
Crist looked pathetic today. I didn’t bother to watch the whole thing but it is over for him. Charlie, be classy about it and just start closing down shop . Resistance is futile.

I wonder if Allen West has a chance against Ron Klein? If there ever was a year that West could do it, it would be this year. Tough call.

Specifically, WHAT is going on with those people in The Villages??There WILL be numerous "False Flag" attacks mounted in the name of the "Tea Party"! It is an amorphous group which is easily invoked by democrat saboteurs!!!

Crist killed himself today. It was a pretty amazing debate. Crist really showed his true colors today. A phony shallow Obama loving RINO
I really think Crist has never got over the fact that Rubio simply did not back away and hand the keys to the Florida Senate seat like he had planned.
Even if Mickey Mouse was Crist opponent, I'd vote for the mouse

Because we have the Tea Party Party, the registered group formed by liberal Dems and Rubio wants no part of them.
He was right, the REAL Tea Parties do not have leaders, they are not organized and he’s gone to dozens.
Most of my many conversations with Rubio have been at a Tea Party event.

...and what, exactly, did the Republican Party leaders see in him again?
High poll numbers statewide at the time of the endorsement. What they didn't understand is that his poll numbers are a sham, and no one likes Crist, which is why he's running for the Senate and not for a second term as Governor.

Can’t believe the gall of Crist in saying he didn’t increase taxes but insisted taxes on cigarettes is a “user fee”. When Wallace brought up drivers license fees that have gone up with 18 million drivers I was dumbfounded Crist stuck by the same answer that it is a “user fee” and that not everyone needs to drive. How clueless/stupid is this guy?

I have never seen him before and wonder how Floridians have stood him all this while. [shiver]
We haven't. He won office initially because he was endorsed by Jeb Bush, who did a great job as FL Gov and is well-admired to this day. His poll numbers are generally high, but they're fraudulent: they don't reflect the real, genuine dislike of Crist across the state. That's why he's not running for a second term as Gov and is instead trying to kick himself upstairs.

How would he save face in a few months if he runs as an Independant? Wallace pretty much gave him no breathing room to be able to flip-flop. Crist would be a fool to run as an Independant unless he turns into a mole and then switches parties.

If Rubio becomes a very good Senator, then that’s his ceiling. It’s incredibly difficult for a legislator to win an election as an executive unless he’s running against another legislator. And if he becomes a very good Senator, why would you want him to leave?

imho, Crist’s statement that he would have joined the only 3 Republicans that voted for Obama’s Stimulus bill sealed his fate......he’s done.
