Mornin’ AB! Freepers are gathering in Orlando to watch the debate between Rubio and what’s his name, Crist. Coffee and camaraderie will be the prescription for a bit of fun this A.M.

Morning AB, All,

Singing on this Palm Sunday. Got granddaughter for long weekend during Easter break.

Been apologizing to her all weekend for stealing her future.

Keep me apprised of the talk show events and be back later.

Watch for Charlie Crist's polling numbers to take an even bigger plunge after today's appearance on Fox.

This will be a chance to see him and Rubio on the same program...watch Rubio give straight answers and watch Crist dodge tough questions.

Crist seems more interested in smearing Rubio than in talking about specific issues.

Rubio keeps trying to turn the discussion around to the issues rather than the smears.

Crist admits that, if he were in Congress, he would have voted FOR the stimulus along with Snowe, Collins and Specter.

Crist’s most admired senators, per Wallace: McCain and Graham.

Crist is back on the smearing: slush fund, misappropriation of funds, etc.

[Sort of reminds me of the recent Ryan v Obama conflab. Rubio turns the discussion, again, to the issues.]

Crist wants to close the border.

[What about Florida? IIRC, it does NOT actually have a border with a foreign country [i.e., Mexico]. What did Crist, as governor, do to reduce illegals entering Florida?]

Good morning, and thanks for the thread.

First of all, I hope somebody talks about the Imperial Exemption in the Health Care Tax and Delay bill which allows Barack, Michelle, their kids; and all the other elites to avoid the consequence of their legislation. This is the ultimate act of hubris and afrrogance that is what people have been voting against for the last several election cycles.

And, FNC so far; Nice tan, Charlie.

Tea Parties want to vet Rubio?

[Sounds like some group is trying to co-opt the Tea Party movement.]

On issue points, Rubio won.

On smear points, Crist won.

Crist seemed more interested in smearing his opponent than in discussing issues. [Isn’t that AZ race sort of following a similar pattern?]

FNS roundtable talks about healthcare bill.

Brit implies that it was the wrong issue for the time, that people are more interested in the economy/jobs.

==

In the live thread about the Obama-Pubbie HC summit, I posted that the first thing the Pubbies should say is ‘why are we not talking about jobs? The economy is a bigger issue than Healthcare.’

If the Pubbies had started the conference with that, they would and ended the healthcare debate and forced the administration, and they probably would have ensured victory in November.
