Roznovski's? I think that's still there. I used to go there every Friday with co-workers back in the early 90s. That's near the beer can house, isn't it? I remember we used to pass it on our way there.

I also used to like Prince's Hambugers in Montrose. That's been gone for a few years now.

And I've noticed he never mentions her anymore, but he mentions their kid. I guess they went splits?

I knew I was spelling it wrong. I’ll check and see if it is still there next time I go to Wabash Feedstore on Washington.

I don’t think the wording meant any disrespect. The proper ID of “former President George H. W. Bush” was used just a few sentences before, and it would have been redundant to repeat it. Take it in context.

Yes! Roznovski's. I loved it.

Also, I remember passing the beer can house to get there.

I moved from Hou 18 years ago...it's changed so much.

“It has changed so much” is an understatement! It is changing before my very eyes! If you don't travel a street for a few weeks or months, you don't recognize it anymore because all the buildings are gone and something new is going up in their place. I hate this! I am soon to be 70 and I have lived here all my life, I expect change over the years but this is too much. What is all this talk about a recession?

I think that’s a reasonable alternative take on it, but I still believe the proper way to refer to him in the second instance would be ‘the former president.’ You don’t have to mention his full name, but to refer to him as ‘her husband’, is quite dismissive. Like I said, I can understand where you’re coming from since he had been referred to properly just above. I just see it different.

Take care.

I know what you mean. I go away for six or eight months at a time and when I get home, I almost have to relearn my part of town (Westchase) because so many things have changed.

Prayers up for Bar. She and Poppy have shown nothing but grace in their exit from the White House and subsequent post-President activities.

Thanks for the ping, ohioWfan.

Prayers offered for dear Mrs. Bush (as well as her husband---remember how broken up he was about her last hospitalization? so very sweet).

I was thinking about that when I heard this, dmd25.

He sobbed when he talked about her recovery (from surgery?).

I'm sure he's right there by her side (and the kids are coming in as they can). This is one loving family, and Bar is the main reason for that.

Any updates anyone?

I worked in Beijing for awhile after Tianneman Square, and all of the Chinese Loved the Bush Family for choosing to go and live there and how wonderfully and honorably they acted and treated the Chinese. They told me the Bushes would pedal down to the local market and shop amongst all of the people rather than sending “STAFF” out for the dealings.
That is a very big Compliment and these were influential Leaders and Citizens reciting these stories! Just a GREAT, HONORABL AMERICAN FAMILY WHO HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PROUD OF AMERICA and NEVER APOLOGIZED FOR HER!! But rather always sung her Praises!

We taken the Bushes class for granted so long but Obama has renewed an appreciation for class.

The Obamas don't know the meaning of Class.

To win the cold war only to surrender to the CPUSA without firing a shot can be pretty distressing to a patriot with half a brain.

Roger that. It is a hell of a stress to see what's unfolded in the course of just one year. As I've said before, we've been fighting communism my whole life, and now we have a communist in the White House. . . Keep Fighting!
