My husband and I attended the Glenn Beck American Revival event today. It was very enlightening and inspiring!
Barton did a great job informing us about the history of the Constitution and our Founders....and not just the famous ones. I can't tell you how much I learned today and the references to go learn more....like John Locke's Two Treatises of Government, which was drawn upon for drafting the Constitution.
Buckner was excellent, as well as the Judge! I could listen to them all day.
I was a little disappointed when the Judge said he thought the healthcare bill could be at the Supreme Court in 2.5 years. Seems too long! ...he said if folks get a taste of the entitlements of this bill then it will be virtually impossible to repeal.
Glenn announced that he has a panel or team of experts that are working on a budget proposal that would help get us out of this mess. He said he will roll that out...not sure of when, but I thought it was next month or maybe in May. The proposal wouldn't be popular, but would be required in order to get this country back on track.
Anyway, I didn't see this posted, so I hope it's not a duplicate. I also don't post often, so I apologize in advance if it's under the wrong category or unintelligible.
Well, I’m glad to hear it.
Wish I could have been there. Any observations are welcome.

Yo, ILK, if you’re reading. Here’s the skinny on Orlando........
And how about the 85% of us who are happy with our insurance and our health care. When we get a taste of worse health care at higher prices, I wonder if he thinks that will count for anything. Not to mention the people who will lose their jobs entirely because of the extra costs to their employers.
This is not just another entitlement. It gives to some but takes away from far more.

BULL...wait til they get a taste of paying for it.
Thanks for posting. BIG THANKS for your activism. Thanks for Barton, Buckner, Napolitano and all in attendance.
HOORAY Glenn Beck! Glenn Beck is OUTSTANDING!
Thanks so much for the post!!! I really like Glenn Beck but he scares me a little too!!!
Thanks for the report. I was interested in knowing how Glen’s forum went.
The folks that attended were very attentive and respectful (reminded me of the folks from the Tea Party rally in DC on Sept 12th). There was even a spontaneous humming/singing of “Amazing Grace” when the program was momentarily stopped for a medical emergency. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it again.
I believe that folks that see Glenn in person can tell he is speaking from his heart and truly believes what he is saying.
He does get choked up alot, but I can’t say that I didn’t get a little choked up a couple of times today.
I truly believe we live in historic times and that heroic efforts and sacrifices will be needed.
When he talked about the budget proposal that the team of experts is working on and what it will probably require....lots of sacrifice, ....there were many elderly folks in the audience on Social Security and I think they knew what he was saying.
Nothing I love more than Beck and Napolitano together.
Thanks for the link!
Another thing that I learned today... the Judge talked about how Lincoln jailed a bunch of northern journalist because they were considered a threat to national security. The Judge sighted several examples where President’s did things that were unconstitutional during times of war. But he said that the Constitution should be steadfast regardless of wartime or peacetime.
...northern journalist jailed....ahhh...even though my brain agrees this shouldn’t happen...I can fantasize about it, can’t I?
I am 34 year old single woman from Massachusetts. For the past year I've been listening to Glenn an taking his advice, educating myself on what it is to be an American, and preparing for the worst while watching the deconstruction of our country. I flew down to Florida to come to the revival and couple it with a visit to my Mother who moved down here many years ago, and I'm glad I did.
Today did not change me, it solidified who I am. Someone who believes in the truths that our country was founded on. Originally, I had doubted the message of “faith, hope and charity.” Myself, I was raised as a Catholic. Over the years I pulled away from the church but maintained my own spirituality and respect of G-d and his laws.
Every second of today's program was on point, inspirational and well received. Bravo, Glenn, bravo! There are no words, but the words that came from the presenter’s own mouths, to tell the story of the Republic we are a part of.
UCF was unprepared and disorganized, and that's all I'll say of the venue. But, every participant in today's revival was wonderful. I didn't hear a single complaint, and UCF did deserve many. We're in great company. Today renewed my faith in America and my fellow enlightened citizens.
Do you think people are going to be grateful for the entitlements in 4 years? Whaddayyathink?
I’m not a terribly religious person but I do have faith in God and the natural optimism it brings.
Beyond that I’m doing all I can to disengage from the whole system. I’ve minimized my debts, dumped the credit cards and I’m becoming as self reliant as I can. Living in a tiny close knit village doesn’t hurt either.
OK, where’s the ‘after action report’. Or was this it?
How much were the tickets? Everything I’ve looked up to see him other than on Fox News is WAAAAYYY out of my budget. He’s a great capitalist, but he should realize that a large portion of his audience is struggling with Øbamanomics.
Sorry to disappoint you....that was it. I am remembering bits and pieces as time passes....sorry, I’m not a note taker.
Thank you for posting. I am so jealous! Take what you learned and teach all who will listen.
