A controversial student-directed play at Tarleton State University that would have portrayed Jesus as a homosexual has been canceled.
According to a press release from the university, the professor of the theatre directing class decided to cancel the Saturday production of "Corpus Christi" because of safety and security concerns for the students, as well as the need to maintain an orderly academic environment.

Thanks DRey. I didn’t bother to go back up and look. I appreciate the correction.
Actually, the play wasn’t even open to the public. It was supposedly “an exercise to give the students practice in directing and producing a play”. It was all done behind the back of the new university president. The first anybody heard of it was a little story in the newspaper. It was a flagrant slap in the face of the university leaders and the VERY conservative community. Several hundreds of thousands of dollars in endowments and gifts to the university were going to be withdrawn if the play went on. And yes, my dad is a big muckity-muck at Tarleton (but not the prez) and has been involved since the story broke.
The people who came up with this sick disgusting perversion are surely the ones to whom the Bible referred when it spoke of people who by their own rebellious stubbornness are turned over to “reprobate minds” beyond redemption.
Expect nationwide outrage from the sodomite thugs; local protests, property damage, assaults and other thuggery - in Stephenville of all places. This will go over really big for the sphincter worshipers. /sarc
It’s OK everybody. The students involved decided instead to film a documentary exploring whether or not Mohammad was a murderous, lying, child rapist.
Seconded.
And here I thought that civilization had “advanced” to a point where “artistic freedom” allows the celebration of a homosexual Jesus. (sarcasm)
Well, we’re “tolerant” and “evolved” enough to celebrate the vagina with “The Vagina Monologues”, but not evolved enough for a gay Jesus. (more sarcasm)
