55% Favor Repeal of Health Care Bill
Rsmussen ^ | March 25, 2010 | Rasmussen

Posted on 03/27/2010 7:23:10 AM PDT by SmokingJoe

Representatives passed sweeping health care legislation last Sunday, 41% of voters nationwide favored the legislation while 54% were opposed. Now that President Obama has signed the legislation into law, most voters want to see it repealed.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey, conducted on the first two nights after the president signed the bill, shows that 55% favor repealing the legislation. Forty-two percent (42%) oppose repeal. Those figures include 46% who Strongly Favor repeal and 35% who Strongly Oppose it.

In terms of Election 2010, 52% say they’d vote for a candidate who favors repeal over one who does not. Forty-one percent (41%) would cast their vote for someone who opposes repeal.

Not surprisingly, Republicans overwhelmingly favor repeal while most Democrats are opposed. Among those not affiliated with either major party, 59% favor repeal, and 35% are against it.

Most senior citizens (59%) also favor repeal. Earlier, voters over 65 had been more opposed to the health care plan than younger adults. Seniors use the health care system more than anyone else.

The # 1 campaign issue for the GOP for November is clear: Repeal the abominable 0bamcare bill, and replace with common sense conservative solutions like tort reform, buying insurance across state lines, a crack down on the huge Medicare/Medcaid fraud that is costing us hundreds of billions every year, etc.

I suspect if those things were going to strike a chord with the public, they would have done so already.

Obama is just about like Hitler in 1934. To his tirades against everybody, to his dressing down and humiliating Bibi, to his major league lies. He said this in Iowa: “From this day forward, all of the cynics, all the naysayers — they’re going to have to confront the reality of what this reform is and what it isn’t,” the president said. “They’ll have to finally acknowledge this isn’t a government takeover of our health care system.” So he took the truth and did an absolute 180. And like Hitler, he will resonate this lie until everyone believes it.

My friend in Cananda sent me this email...

Our health care system is a complete flop !!!! 50% of the total taxes or 50% of the total revenues of our government is spent, should say wasted, on our health care, is the cost is rising every year....

And what do we get in return ? Unbelievable poor service, average waiting time we go the the urgency at the hospital is 30 hours, they park people in hallways for days because no rooms available.....and some frequently die there because nobody is available to look after them etc

There is a two year wait of heart surgeries.

So he took the truth and did an absolute 180.

Correct. He does that every single day of his life. 0bama is such a congenital liar, he doesn't even know the truth from his own BS anymore.

And like Hitler, he will resonate this lie until everyone believes it.”

Hitler didn't have conservative talk radio, Fox News, or the internet, and sure as heck didn't have the Tea Parties to contend with. 0bama has been repeating these same lies about 0bamcare for over a year now, and most Americans still don't believe him. He is not going to have any more luck convincing people now that he had before.

Maybe if he gave a couple hundred more speeches?

That will do him about as much good as his last 100 speeches pushing 0bamcare: Voters will still not buy it.

Muslims Exempt From Obamacare
”The new Obamacare legislation that was forced on unwilling Americans this week
specifically mandates that we all purchase health insurance. That is, unless you don't
believe in that sort of thing. That's right, the current health care bill contains a clause
which exempts certain individuals form the requirements and penalties set forth in it.

" EXEMPTIONS FROM INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS.
—In the case of an individual who is seeking an exemption certificate under section
1311(d)(4)(H) from any requirement or penalty imposed by section 5000A, the following information:
In the case of an individual seeking exemption based on the individual’s status as a
member of an exempt religious sect or division, as a member of a health care sharing
ministry, as an Indian, or as an individual eligible for a hardship exemption, such
information as the Secretary shall prescribe."
Senate Bill, H.R. 3590, pages 273-274“

Amish, Muslims to be excused from Obamacare mandate?
”Amish, Muslims to be excused from Obamacare mandate? WordWayze The Senate
health care bill just signed contains some exemptions to the "pay-or-play" mandate
requiring purchase of Obamacare-approved health insurance or payment of a penalty fine.
As Fox News has pointed out, for instance, the Amish are excused from the mandate:
So while most Americans would be required to sign up with insurance companies or
government insurance plans, the church would serve as something of an informal
insurance plan for the Amish.

Law experts say that kind of exemption withstands scrutiny.
"Here the statute is going to say that people who are conscientiously opposed to paying
for health insurance don't have to do it where the conscientious objection arises from
religion," said Mark Tushnet a Harvard law professor. "And that's perfectly constitutional."
Apparently, this exemption will apply similarly to believers in Islam, which considers
health insurance - and, for that matter, any form of risk insurance - to be haraam (forbidden).”“

what annoying me alot if Huckabee another some Republicans are now saying, they’re just tinker with the edges of the stuff they dont like, not repeal it! DON’T THEY SEEM TO GET IT, nothing in it is good, it create moral hazard and it still involves government involved in health care. So instead of 3 steps left on health care, Republicans are settlling for 1 step left

I think the real surprise is that as many as 55% are against this bill, given that the mainstream media are shilling for 0bamcare 24/7 and have been doing so for the last 12 months at least.
Plus in a two party system like this country, there will always be approx 45% that will support the presidential candidate of one party or the other, except in very few cases(Perot comes to mind). So hardcore Democrats will support the Democratic Party platform no mater how evil it is. Luckily, they are not in the majority in this country.

I also think that those 55% will crawl over broken bottles to vote this Nov., while the rest will be eating Cheetos and watching American Idol.

The number opposed to ObamaCare will gradually increase as time passes. Many sheeple are easily swayed by the MSM propoaganda machine. However, it is easier to shape people's opinion of a bill than it is of a law that has gone into effect. ObamaCare will have consequences for everyone, and mostly these consequences will be negative.

Once more and more sheeple become adversely affected by ObamaCare, it won't matter to them what the MSM propaganda machine says. They will be harmed, and they will be pissed.
